I'm trying to eat a cleaner diet, cut sugar, make more food from scratch. There is so much information in this book, not only for people with Crohns, but anyone looking to improve their health.

UnDiet is an absolutely amazing fun way to let go of rules (think counting calories and much more) and learn to eat foods that are whole, unprocessed and absolutely amazing for your health. It's about making small shifts in your life that bring around big changes in all aspects of your life. Meghan is an amazing teacher of all things healthy.  It's not just about food, but she opens your eyes to where your trash goes (there is no such thing as "AWAY"), how your cleaners affect your health and the environment, how the products you use on your body affects your health, how to slow down and make eating something to enjoy and even how to love what you do and do it with love. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book for Crohns patients Hi, I used this book and the SCD diet to improve my Crohns disease by 100%. The last time I was "scoped" in the hospital the specialist said he couldn't find any sign of my disease. I don't know if this will work for everyone but I found that avoiding milk products (except for the SCD yogurt I made myself - a hassle but the biggest contributing factor to better health) and avoiding gluten slooowly started healing my fistulas. Following Meghan's early morning drink of lemon juice/apple cider and pepper flakes in a tall glass of water helped keep me regular ( no more of that annoying back and forth from D to C - Crohnies know what I mean). Meghan's upbeat style helped me when things were dark. Eat those smoothies, get the whole family involved in meal prep for the week and make it fun. Even a four year old can stir. No processed food - chuck out those boxes. Keep trying new recipes and sing and dance while you cook, buy nice plates, invite friends over for potlucks, paint your kitchen. We actually saved money by making our own almond and coconut bread and not buying junk food. If you enjoy pop buy soda water instead and add lemon juice. Make beet and sweet potato chips. Run and jump. Good luck!

I have found the information there presented to be informative and enjoyable. She is energetic, well-informed and very creative in the kitchen. I enjoy learning from her but what really wows me are her fabulous recipes. I have done one of her cleanses (Fabdetox)which included recipes, menu planning and online support. Every single recipe was excellent in taste, health and visual appeal. Many of those recipes have been added to my permanent cooking repertoire. (That is saying a lot, because I change my cooking style regularly in order to keep tastes fresh and inspiring). The health information in Undiet in instructional for all, from those who are newbies to healthy, clean eating, to persons with health problems, to those knowledgeable on how to eat for health. Undiet will be appreciated by all. The recipes will be loved by all who taste their results. Please buy and put Undiet to use in your life. You won't be sorry!

Meghan's enthusiasm spills over in this book and it is just a joy to read. Its like you can hear her cheering you along every step of the way. Her experience, knowledge and insight makes this book a must read for anyone wanting to live a healthy full life and not afraid to break the conventional "diet" rules so popular today. This manual covers all the bases. Eating, hydration, real vs fake food, beating and understanding cravings, meal planning, natural living, and tons of amazing whole food recipes. Meghan is living proof that her plan works. Anyone can claim to be an expert and write a book but in a lot of cases its like taking health advice from someone who smokes or getting weight loss advice from an obese person. Just because they have the knowledge doesn't mean they are applying it in their own life. Meghan was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease which her doctors told her there was nothing she could do to make it go away...but boy were they wrong! She put what she shares in this book into action and she has been totally symptom free for 6 years. She is an inspiration and you won't regret having this book in your library!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Life Saver! I found Meghan about 3 years ago when I was searching the web frantically for a way to help my son who was diagnosed with Crohns disease. Her blog spoke to me with wit and humor that I desperately needed during the darkest part of our lives. Day after day I was drawn back to it, learning and laughing and at some points crying (for all the things I just didn't know about food). My son's journey was long and difficult but I continued to make things that were healing for him. Three years later I am so thankful to God for his healing hands and to Meghan for her straight forward teachings and truely yummy recipes. I was so super excited when she announced she was writing a book! Her joy for life just jumps off the pages and makes you want to be the best version of you possible. A must read for every mom (and dad) who want to give their kids (and feed their kids) the very best our beautiful earth has to offer!

I am so excited that she has compiled so much wisdom into this book so we can all benefit from her crazy amount of knowledge on vibrant living. I love than Meghan isn't afraid to break all the rules and tell it like it is. She is a true leader in the wellness industry. As a fellow Holistic Nutritionist, I'm always on the look out for good resources for myself and my clients. Meghan has been one of those go-to resources for me for sometime. This book contains the info that I want all of my clients to embrace. Meghan makes nutrition and healthy living fun and easy. She is hilarious and very candid with her journey and what we need to do to improve our health. The best part is that it is broken down into bite sized manageable pieces which is necessary to make lasting change. This is a grown-up and polished Meghan - though not too grown up. She did manage to slip in a reference to "poo-juice"! Even the familiar is presented in a fresh, fun way. New, beautiful photos are mixed with photos from her website. Standard "Meghan" recipes are updated for the book. Hooray for veggie rice wraps in all their delicious variations! Meghan is the perfect cheerleader for anyone wanting to make positive changes in their life. She encourages you to take things at your own pace, and on your own terms. Break the rules. Yes, there are non-negotiables, but Meghan doesn't dwell on them. Rather, she emphasizes all the amazing things you can have and do while living the life of your dreams.

I found myself feeling perplexed by the many health books on the market and thought to myself, if I am confused, how does someone out there that doesn't know about nutrition decide what to choose. What I have found over the years is that I like a blend of cooked and raw foods, no meat, but with a little dairy, a little wild fish and some treats. Meghan's approach in UNDIET takes you through a blend of this style of eating from the healthiest and most natural ways. She has a wonderful story to share and her colourful and light hearted writing style make for a FUN and EASY read. A book that encompasses, mind, body and soul throughout the whole book. Wonderfully inspiring and right for EVERYONE with no focus on calorie counting, or counting your proteins, carbs or fat grams. A holistic and natural approach to your whole life. Holistic Nutritionista Meghan Telpner has released her first book and I have to say it is a humdinger of a great read, full of pretty photos and priceless information. Meghan wound up with "incurable" Crohn's Disease after experiencing a fast-paced, stressful lifestyle as an Ad Executive. Meghan refused to accept her fate though and proceeded to heal herself even though the medical establishment said it was not possible. This beautiful, colorful book is full of no nonsense advice and information. It is a great resource for anyone interested in living a more healthy and vibrant life. I am thrilled to have such a great resource that is also so fun and accessible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You NEED this book! Since last summer, I have been on a health journey of sorts to try and heal myself from multiple allergies that I have mysteriously developed. I came across Meghan Telpner's blog, and since then, she has been an invaluable resource in my healing! This book helps to put everything she teaches in one place where you can read it all again and again! The thing I love most about this book is how EASY it truly is. It's not another gimmicky diet book - it's about going back to basics and eating REAL food. And besides food, Meghan gives great tips to incorporate other lifestyle changes like exercise, drinking more water, ditching the chemicals in your beauty products, and helping the planet. This really resonates with me because once you start looking at where your food comes from and what's in it, it follows that you want to help the planet and make a difference. That's why it's not at all out of place in an UnDiet book! And for those who have a multitude of excuses about why they can't incorporate these changes - exercise, get back in the kitchen, etc., Meghan has the answers taken care of already so that this lifestyle is accessible for everyone. I have already bought several copies of this book for family and friends, and hope that Meghan's fun, approachable way of teaching helps them to make some much-needed lifestyle changes. This is one revolution the world desperately needs!

One of the things I like most about Meghan's UnDiet philosophy is that she presents lots of ideas, each of which will improve your health independently of the others. Her view is that a lifestyle shift doesn't have to be about turning life upside down overnight; simply take ideas that fit most easily into your lifestyle, routine and budget right now, and come back to others later. And if you are looking to make big changes, there's an 8-week step-by-step plan for that, too. This book will give you great fuel. I know I'll be coming back to my copy again and again in the next few years.

From this book you will learn how to read labels and decipher food labeling. Meghan provides us with meal planning tips, as well as an 8-week transformation guide, with healthy guidelines to follow each week and an UnDiet week long meal plan. As someone who has struggled with my weight and health for years, I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Meghan Telpner, her team and this book. Meghan's holistic approach reminds us that making lasting change requires taking inventory of our life and the choices we've made advertently and inadvertently to this point. The best part is, it really is an "undiet", there is no calorie counting or obsessing about portion size, and the book is full of easy delicious recipes that truly satisfy any craving. Beyond that there are other helpful tips and topics covered like how to organize your fridge and prep for the week,including a gorgeous large photo of the contents in her inspiring fridge. The biggest take away for me after reading this book is being mindful of what I put in and on my body. This book is about building and celebrating health and having fun while doing it, I love it and refer back to it often.

I have read a lot of ‘diet’ and ‘health’ books in the past few years but I am guilty of rarely finishing them! I easily read UnDiet from start to finish (in a couple of sittings at that)! I have been a big fan of Meghan Telpner for several years and eagerly anticipated the arrival of her new book (and hopefully not her last). Meghan’s bright personality shines through the book, from the carefully selected quotes, to the candid (and honest) writing, to the colourful pictures scattered throughout. She truly embodies her work and her authenticity is evident. In the book’s introduction she states: “There is no division between the work that I do and the life that I live”. From the start, it is clear the book is truly about UnDieting! The goal is a vibrant and healthy life, not a number on the scale or a waist measurement (though that may be a nice side effect). This is a lifestyle change and an ongoing practice (Meghan suggests similar to a yoga practice). UnDieting is not just about the food we eat, but how we feel during the day, the relationships we have, how we get ‘our sweat on’, and the work that we do. Besides being colourful and visually appealing, UnDiet is also well organized! Broken up into 10 chapters, each chapter ‘tackles’ one aspect of the UnDiet lifestyle. Facts are presented simply and to the point with ample evidence and reasoning (i.e. we all know we shouldn’t drink out of plastic water bottles. Meghan clearly explains why!). Each chapter is followed by a page that summarizes the chapter’s key points (much like that of your high school chemistry textbook but way more exciting), and provides transitional tips and mantras to help you gradually UnDiet your life. Everything you need to improve your health and your life is covered: real food recipes, how to optimize your time in the kitchen, how to select recipes (something I have never before seen in a ‘healthy living’ book), optimal fruit and vegetable prep, how to kick your cravings and tackle your bad habits, how and why to reduce your food waste, edible beauty and home care, and how to ‘love what you do and do it with love’. UnDiet concludes with an easy-to-follow eight-week transformation and seven day meal plan to help you start UnDieting your life. As an added bonus when you purchase the book you are able to join the UnDiet Book Club/Facebook group (full of members sharing their delicious-looking recipes and thoughts on their UnDieting experiences). UnDiet is just as vibrant and colorful on the inside, with just the right amount of serious light bulb moments to get you really thinking. Honestly, you just can't get any simpler than this. Don't get me wrong, this is not your run-of-the-mill 'do this, don't do that' kind of book. Meghan's infectious energy and passion for healthy living will draw you in instantly, I certainly was! This is a book you will not want to put down, there is so much information and inspiration; you’ll want everything to soak in all at once so you can put it into practice the moment you close that book! With UnDiet, there are no 'catches', no weird food or pills... there is no pressure or guilt to eat a certain way. We have all been inundated with certain diet crazes enough. Meghan gives us the tools to learn how to truly listen to our own bodies, and gets back to the basics. With REAL food When I started on my path to wellness a year ago, Meghan was right there, cheerleading me along (with many others), equipping and enabling me to take my health into my own hands step by step. Well, I guess that a book with the word “diet” in the title sells by itself but, WARNING, the book is not about dieting. It’s about a building a better life for you and the people around you! Un-diet here is like un-learning: get rid of bad old habits and fill in with new challenging but rewarding ones. It’s meant to inspire, through wise words coming from experience and expertise, and guide you one step (or as many as you can handle) at a time to incorporate and re-learn new routines to build a better health from the inside out. And it’s not all about food, so don’t expect food recipes galore in the book. For that, internet is actually an amazing resource! However you’ll find recipes here, not just for yummy meals and snacks, but recipes to create an enhanced and happier you! I’ve loved every piece of it: the topics Meghan covers, the suggestions, the way it’s written, the colours used… It truly transmits positive energy!

This book is chock full of life-altering information for improving diet and overall health, but it’s not boring! It’s a fun read and all the science-y stuff hides in charming dialogue—and reads almost like a chat with a good friend. It is Meghan’s unmistakable passion that pours off the pages as she guides you through her approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. As a certified holistic nutritionist, all her precious knowledge is revealed. This information will not only help you feel incredible, but also get your GLOW on and help you look your very best!
