A modern, magical twist on the Gothic romance and girl detective genres, the Lynburn Legacy books will appeal to fans of both Beautiful Creatures and the Mortal Instruments series. Reviewers have praised the take-charge heroine and the spellbinding romance.
It’s time to choose sides. . . .
On the surface, Sorry-in-the-Vale is a sleepy little town. But Kami Glass knows the truth. Sorry-in-the-Vale is full of magic. In the old days, the Lynburn family ruled with fear, terrifying the people into submission by killing human sacrifices for blood and power. Now the Lynburns are back, and Rob Lynburn is gathering sorcerers so the town can return to the old ways.
But Rob and his followers aren’t the only sorcerers around. The town must make a decision: pay the blood sacrifice, or fight. For Kami, this means more than just choosing between good and evil. With her link to Jared Lynburn severed, she’s now free to love whomever she chooses. But who should that be?
As coauthor with Cassandra Clare of the bestselling Bane Chronicles, Sarah Rees Brennan has mastered the art of the page-turner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loving this series The sequel to Unspoken finds Kami and her friends in a fight against Rob Lynburn and his sorcerers. Rob wants power and he wants the town. He wants a blood sacrifice. Kami and her friends don’t have a lot of people willing to stand with them against Rob and the ones who are don’t have a lot of power. It may seem hopeless but Kami isn’t giving up. This book, like the first, was so much fun to read. The humour that I loved in Unspoken was still present and Untold went deeper into some of the characters that had less focus in the first book. There was also more about the myth of the whole Lynburn family and more about the magical world that was really interesting. This book never felt like a middle book of a series, which was great. Kami was still the character I loved from the first book. Her voice still reminded me a bit of Veronica Mars, all sarcasm and great one-liners that had me laughing. Her determination to fight Rob and keep all her friends and family safe was great. I liked seeing her bonding more with the new characters to her group, Ash and Holly especially. And Rusty. Rusty was awesome and hilarious. Her relationship with Jared really changed due to the events of the first book and Kami’s decisions so it was interesting to see how they navigated through their new way of interacting. I really liked seeing more of the family aspect in this book. Kami’s family was adorable. I loved her relationship with her father and her little brothers. Her relationship with her mother was more complicated due to different views but it was still interesting. The Lynburn family was also very interesting. Team Good was down to it being Lillian, who was Ash’s mother, Ash, and Jared, and after Rob’s betrayal in Unspoken it was interesting to see how they acted with each other. They were definitely not an overly affectionate family, unlike the Glasses, but there were some really nice bonding moments that gave me hope that it could lead to more. The first book was all about the mystery of the Lynburns and the murders in the forest. This one was more of a chess game, each side making a move and waiting for the reaction. It was a lot of setting up for a third book checkmate and it was very tense. There was a lot of humourous dialogue or observations, mostly from Kami, that would offset the darker part of the book and it created a nice balance. Even though the wasn’t a whole lot of action, there was still enough to make it a fast read. I didn’t want it to end and when it did, I couldn’t wait to read the last book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ending! Wow, It was just as good as the first and I really liked how everything played out for the most part. It was really frustrating though in the way that you get so sucked in so it means that the book was amazingly written. The plot was really good too. I liked how everything flowed together. The characters were amazing to see how they changed and how they felt. Then ending though was by far the best. I loved it and hated it because of the suspense. I loved the way it all played out. I loved how...It was just really amazing and ripped my heart out. I just can't believe what happened. I need to read the next one now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully Written Wow, Just as good or Even better as the first one! I can't believe what i was reading. It's one of those books that you get so into because it's so amazingly written that you just get sucked in and feel like you're actually in the book and that you yell or scream when you know something the characters don't or you know they're making a mistake or something like that. The plot was amazing and I loved the way it was written. It was powerful and the word choice was amazing. The plot seemed to go a little fast at the beginning but not by that much because you realize later in the book that the fast part was just a small part or a lose knot from the ending of the last book. The characters were just as amazing. If even more! I loved the way they were expressed and they surprised me in so many way that I would have never saw coming. I loved, loved, loved, loved it and I can't wait to see whats in store for the next book...Correction! I NEED TO KNOW NOW! NOW NOW NOW! GIMMIE GIMMIE! :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Rare Treat One of the great perks of being an bookseller, and in particular a bookseller known to be a certain amount of expert to the publisher Reps, is the advance copies!! Unspoken is a fantabulous story which I highly recommend reading if you haven’t already done so. I was lucky enough to meet Sarah at a Smart Chicks Kick It Event which is why I originally picked up Unspoken and to this day I am so very grateful that she was one of the authors and that that is her book I chose to read. Recently I was able to read Untold by Sarah Rees Brennan. The second story in The Lynburn Legacy. The most amazing thing about is that Untold is that most rare of objects, a follow up story that does not let you down in anyway what’s so ever!!! I know you are thinking “Three exclamation marks. Really?” but yes. I stand behind them. It is really done so well as to deserve three exclamation marks. Untold picks up where Unspoken has left off with Kami and friends fighting Evil and their own emotional angst. They’ve got to save not only the town but their families as well and that may be more difficult then they originally thought. Once again Sarah Rees Brennan has produce a story that will engulf you, leave you feeling breathless and wanting to visit Sorry-In-The-Vale over and over again. It will thrill and terrify you. It will make you angry and sad. It will warm your heart and make you believe that chivalry still lives. Even with the constant reminders that Angela and Holly are the most beautiful girls EVER, (what is UP with the constant repetition in books these days?) I long for the next book even though the second isn’t out yet. I won’t say anything about the actual story so as not to spoil it for others but if you are dying to know what happens with Jared and Kami or Kami and Ash or Rusty or any of the other characters, I can pretty much guarantee that you won’t be disappointed and that it is well worth the wait!! Pre-order, Get it the day it’s released or in ebook but GET It! 5 out of 5 OUTSTANDING Reads
