Rated 3 out of 5 by from So-so--watched the anime first, but then continued with the manga So promising, with beautiful illustrations and an interesting concept. Sadly, it gets messed up and complicated later on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great start to the series! I was leery at first to read this series cause I worried it would be too similar to Twilight. I mean no harsh intentions about it, I just grew tired of it from the hype and the other works about vampires that seemed to follow Twilight's lead. I started by watching the first episode of the Vampire Knight anime and surprisingly I was hooked on that from the very beginning (and I cannot be the only one who thinks that the theme song for the first season is TOTALLY LIT). But anyway I stopped watching the anime for now until I finish reading the manga. I do love the idea of vampire love stories but I'm leery of them. Lately I tend to want some action and mystery and other components to the plot and characters to coincide with the awesome, passionate love story. Now onto my review of this particular story: I think it's off to a great start. I look forward to learning more about Kaname's relation and important past event involving Yuki. I also look forward to learning more about Zero. The series seems edgy with the guns to kill vampires especially Yuki wielding said type of guns; it makes her appear more badass. I hope this continues. I'm anxious to see where the Zero, Yuki, Kaname love triangle is going to go. Overall, like I said, a great start to the series and I hope it continues to get even better in the upcoming volumes :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall, it's decent Shoujo manga is not everyone's cup of tea, but this one has enough going on that it will appeal to a wide audience. There's action, suspense, romance, and more. Art is pretty good. Having finished the series, I can say that it was worth my time but somewhat unrecognizable by the end.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad So far the story is kind of intriguing me but it's nothing too amazing or innovated. It'll probably get better in the later volumes. So I won't disregard this manga just yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good It has a pretty interesting plot and twists you might not expect coming...it kept me hooked with the love triangle and different likeable characters :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun manga It's pretty good. I had a fun time reading it. A good start to the series. If you want a vampire love triangle romance, this beats Twilight any day ;)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good It doesn't seem as cliché in the vampire side of the story, however the cool kids idolized in highschool part is. It's still a nice story and we keep wondering what Zera is actually hiding !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's so bad that it's good I've seen this manga everywhere, and it's really popular so I decided to read it on the vacation. I actually loved the first few volumes, and found the story interesting. It's all good until you read volume 8, then that's when things get creepy between the characters. I stopped around volume 9 ( I felt uncomfortable when the story took a huge turn ) and didn't feel like continuing the manga, as I realized it wasn't my thing. But if you like vampire themes, shoujo manga and incest, then this is for you. #plumreview

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another Vampire lovestory The idea behind Vampire Knight is really great. A school is shared between Humans and Vampires. Yuuki and Zero are the guardians of the school who must ensure that the Human day students, never find out that the night students are Vampires. At times, the story repeated itself, at least once per chapter we are reminded of the schools secret; that the Night Students are Vampires and that Yuuki and Zero are the guardians This was the first book I have read that kept with the Japanese style of right to left reading. It was a lot easier than I expected and flowed very naturally. It is a quick and easy read for anyone looking for another twist on a Vampire story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved It!!! I am so glad that this was recommended to me, I always had a hard time picking a manga series to start reading because there are so many and they all look great. So when I heard this was a good one to read, I picked up the first volume, and I am SO GLAD that I did! Vampires and Manga is one great combination, it left me hooked right from the start. The characters are awesome, and the plot is great... Cross Academy is where this series takes place, kids either attend; the Night Class or the Day Class... We meet Yuki, and Zero at first, they are guardians who are the only ones in the Day Class that know about the Night Class's secret.. they have to do everything thing they can to protect this secret and keep the Day Class from knowing. The Night class consists of extremely good looking guys and beautiful girls, but their secret is that they are all Vampires. So Yuki and Zero must do what they can to protect this hidden truth... We also meet Kaname, he's the mysterious guy who saved Yuki ten years ago from a Vampire attack... he is the dorm leader of the Night Class. Yuki is adopted by the Chairman at Cross Academy, along with Zero, he also was attacked by Vampires when he was young, he lived but his family died. Yuki has known Zero ever since they were little, she aided him after the attack. She believes that Vampires and Humans can live in peace with each other, but since the attack, Zero disagrees... This was a great start to the series, and I defiantly recommend it!! There's romance, action, thrill, suspense and Vampires...I cannot wait to read the second volume, along with the rest of the series! 2010-002

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent A nice quick read. Illustrations are excellent. Story is very intriguing. The heroine (Yuki) is adorable. Zero is so full of angst that makes you feel for him! Kaname is mysterious and dark, makes you want to know more about him. Very addictive reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved It And Can't Wait To Read More!! This was my first time reading manga and I loved it!! Great storyline, great characters- everything was awesome about it! It had me laughing at times and at others, it was suspenseful and mysterious. Readers easily get drawn into this wonderful (and sometimes scary) world full of humans and vampires trying to coexist peacefully. There are so many surprises and twists along the way that's it's hard to describe what happens without giving any spoilers away... Cross Adademy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class, but what the Day Class students don't know is that the Night Class is actually vampires! Yuuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was attacked by a vampire 10 years ago. She had been saved by Kaname Kuran, a vampire who's now the dorm leader of the Night Class. Adopted by the Chairman at Cross Academy, she and Zero Kiriyuu, a guy who's family was killed by vampires and who also taken in by the Chairman, they are the prefects and guardians of the school. Yuuki may believe that humans and vampires can live peacefully together, but Zero doesn't. This is the first in the series and I'd definitely recommend you read it. P.S. You can read it for free off this site. http://www.onemanga.com/Vampire_Knight/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extraordinary Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino is the latest manga that I have read, and I must say that I enjoyed it a lot. I cannot believe the three volumes ended so fast. Now I am waiting for the fourth volume to come out, but there’s still so many months left. Everything is drawn beautifully, and so all the characters are good-looking (bishonen). Everyone should read this manga. Zero and Yuki try to protect the secret of the night class: that they are vampires. They do this by acting as security guards during nighttime, when the night class comes out. This is because the girls from the day class want to see them, because apparently all of the vampires are extremely good looking. This made me read more mangas written by Matsuri Hino. If you enjoyed Vampire Knight, you should read MeruPuri; it was an amazing manga.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting This manga takes place in Cross Academy. A school with day classes for regular human students. It also has night classes but those are for vampires. No one knows about Cross Academys secret except the head master of Cross and his two school guardians, Zero and Yuki. Overall the story is interesting and is a fun read. It also has a lot of bishonen. I reccomend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lovely title I like the way they portray vampires, It's diffrent and exciting. The plot to the story is so good that when the manga ends you want to read the next volume right away. The main characters in the manga all have there own story and Zero is the saddest of them all.
