Vampires Gone Wild brings together four paranormal romance novellas by Kerrelyn Sparks, Pamela Palmer, Amanda Arista, and Kim Falconer, authors and bloggers at Supernatural Underground.

Kerrelyn Sparks’s demure Pamela and sexy vampire sidekick battle the Malcontents in “V is for Vampwoman.” Kim Falconer’s aqueous San Francisco vampires in “Blood and Water” want nothing from “landers” — unless it’s dinner, but that’s until Stellan meets Angeline. Pamela Palmer carries readers to Vamp City in “A Forever Love” where trapped Lukas pines for his lost love. When she appears, Lukas will fight to keep her alive. It’s been a hundred years since Valiance has dated; all is great until they’re attacked, but quiet Esme will shock Valiance in Amanda Arista’s “First Dates Are from Hell.”

Kerrelyn Sparks is the bestselling author of the Love at Stake series, which has hit as high as number 5 on theNew York Timeslist and 22 on theUSA Todaylist. Kerrelyn is honored that her band of merry vampires and shifters is spreading love and laughter worldwide in fourteen different languages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Vampires Gone Wild" an anthology by Kerrelyn Sparks, Pamela Palmer, Amanda Arista and Kim Falconer. I read this book in September 2014. This was my review. The main reason I bought this book was for the novellas by Kerrelyn Sparks and Pamela Palmer because I read both of series' these novellas are a part of. 4.5 STARS V is for Vamp Woman by Kerrely Sparks. Book 13.5 (novella) in the Love at Stake series. Such a great novella! I so enjoyed reading about Mikhail and Pamela. If you have not read the Love at Stake series, that's ok, you don't need to to understand this story. It was very funny and witty, but also had scenes of fighting action and heartbreaking moments when you learn about Mikhail's past and Pamela's feelings about herself. Mikhail has been in love with Lady Pamela for 200 years but has denied himself being with her because she is a vain, snooty and prim and proper female vampire. Just like his former wife. He won't allow himself to be fooled by a woman like that again. But when Pam shows up on one of his missions to fight the Malcontents, he doesn't know what to think about her! Lady Pamela is determined to reinvent herself. No more running away from friends when they need her help. When she decides to help fight the Malcontents, no one believes she can do it. Least of all Mikhail, who is a complete barbarian! But when she sees a softer, more gentle side to him, she can't stop thinking about him. This novella is a great addition to the Love at Stake series. 4 STARS A Forever Love by Pamela Palmer. Book 1.5 (novella) in the Vamp City series. I really enjoyed reading this novella! Even though it's part of a series, it works well as a stand alone. The rules of the "world" are explained and you have no problem following what is happening in the story. The chemistry between Elizabeth and Lukas is H-O-T! And the ending of the story really tugs at your heart. The story focuses on Elizabeth (Lizzy), who is pining for her lost love Lukas. He left her two years ago with no explanation whatsoever. Then suddenly, Elizabeth finds herself in another world and she has no idea how she got there. The last thing she expected was to find Lukas there, riding to her rescue on horseback! AND he's a vampire!! Lukas has been trapped in Vamp City for two years and has been trying to help his friends restore the magic so he could get back to his Lizzy. Suddenly, Elizabeth is in Vamp City but she can't stay here. He can't protect her here. There's too much danger. He has to get her back home. Even if it breaks his heart to do it. 2 STARS First Dates are Hell by Amanda Arista. Book 3.5 in the Diaries of an Urban Panther series (aka Those Who Wander series). This novella was just ok. I have not read any books from this series so I found it a little confusing as to who all the characters were. One person was mentioned as two different names (FYI - Prima Jordan is Violet). No background is given in this story to understand the "world". I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more had I read the series. Overall, the main characters of Valiance (a vampire) and Esme (a fairy) are likable. There was a lot of action scenes as well. At times the story seemed a little choppy, like you're just supposed to know what the characters are talking about. This novella is definitely not a stand alone in the series and I think it would be enjoyed more if you read the series. 2.75 STARS Blood and Water by Kim Falconer. A novella. (Not sure if this is part of a series or not.) This novella is a historical paranormal romance that takes place in San Francisco in 1906. I'm not really into reading historical genres but this story was interesting. The main character of Stellan threw me for a loop! Technically, he's not a vampire but he does need to drink blood to survive...on land. Stellan is Mar, which is basically a mermaid without the tail, or a mer-person to be exact, but with fangs. Weird right? And Angelina is the human that he falls in love with. Their love story takes place over three days in April and if you know your history of San Francisco, you may be able to figure out what happens. The author's descriptions are quite haunting and very vivid of the events. The love story between Stellan and Angelina was very well incorporated into the real historical events. Overall, it was a pretty interesting novella. **NOTE** The last 70 pages of this book are excerpts of other books by the authors. "Wild About You" by Kerrelyn Sparks (I read this book, it's really good). "A Blood Seduction" and "A Kiss of Blood" by Pamela Palmer (I read these books too, both good). "Diaries of an Urban Panther" by Amanda Arista.
