Rated 5 out of 5 by from great vamp read i loved this book so much and i hope that other people enjoy it as much as i did. i love the rivlery that happens between lilith todd and cally monture. i've already read the second one and i cant wait till the third one comes out (on tus. july 28th 2009). i cant get my friend into it (yet), but im going to. i can see were the gossip girl ressemblance comes in, but i don't think Blair or any other characters are vampires or the undead. and blair's mother was in the modeling agency, and that would be illiegle. oh well. if you liked this book, i would sugest other books like evernight by claudia gray and moonlight by rachel hawthorn and the house of night series by p.c. and kristen cast and night world bu l.j. smith.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome I picked this book up and was immidiently sucked in the life of Lilith Todd and Cally Monture. I loved this book it was so different from any other books I've read. It has rivalry, forbidden love, humour and romance. Anybody who has read the book "Marked" or "The mortal instruments trilogy" would prbably love this. I can't wait to get sucked into the second book! PS: I don't really like reading Gossip girl books and I didn't really see the resemblance, anybondy looking for a great vampire book. This is the book for you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gossip Girl for Vampires First off this book has a rather different look at vampire behavior and traits blending select traits from each vampire myth. I think that it made it more interesting because everything didn't follow one path. Secondly, my main point, this book is like the vampire version of Gossip Girl. It's got designer labels, clubs, penthouses and the ever important rivalry. The main difference between the two books, aside from the vampire vs. human thing, would be the fact that Serena and Blair's rivalry is competitive but deep down they're still friends. Lilith (I got a kick out of the choice of name) and Cally, well their rivalry is a bit more deadly what with upperclass and lowerclass vampires with the same possible father! Definitely not a top notch read but fans of both Gossip Girl and vampires have to give this a try.
