about

Vengeance Is Mine, is a mystery set in a picturesque village known as Saxon Glade. It tells the story of a series of tragic events which occurred during the summer months of the previous year.

It began when one man, Peter Jackson, inherited the family business, Levering and Sons, following the death of his uncle and it also tells of how Peter found himself in prison having killed a young boy playing in the street as he drove through the village of Saxon Glade whilst under the influence of alcohol. This brought about by the stress of running an already doomed business without any kind of business knowledge.

But that was not the only tragedy to befall the village of Saxon Glade that year. Some three months later, tragedy struck the tiny village again when the factory, which was situated in the middle of an industrial estate on the edge of the village, exploded.

He could not be blamed for that, though, as he was already in prison. Unfortunately, neither could anyone else. Most of the villagers worked at the factory, or one of the adjoining factories, and there was no-one left who could have been suspected. The boy’s father, who had been swearing vengeance for some time since his death, had long since disappeared, therefore he, himself, was never considered as a suspect.

All of this is seen through the eyes of Camila Edge; renowned throughout the village and surrounding areas as a mystery writer of short stories. She can usually be found wandering the village in search of a story on a daily basis. And if she can solve a mystery along the way, so much the better.

She has her work cut out with this one though. Not the least because she is confined to a wheelchair. There seems to be no clues for anyone to follow, not just her. There are just an awful lot of rumours and gossip. Even the local police are baffled.
