Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Short Story I found this book (tokyopop version) in a small bookstore for really cheap and decided to pick it up. After I read it, I found out that it was either really expensive or impossible to find, and that disappointed me because it truly is a beautiful story. If you like romance, sci-fi, and short reads, this one shot based off of a movie is for you! The art is amazing and the story feels more concise than the movie, leaving you with few questions. Its a must in your manga collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Read - Beautiful and Gorgeous I myself have the Tokyopop version of Voices of a Distant Star and I absolutely recommend this book to anyone out there. I adore this little book - It is only one volume long but you will find yourself into tears by the end of the book. This is a must for any Shinkai-lover/romanticist out there. The art - I just love the art and the way Mizu Sahara drew the characters. It is nostalgic and very gentle. The story got a little bit altered in this book because two new characters, never before seen in the movie, are introduced.
