Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed. I bought this book with the hope of learning how to Crochet these cute little stuffed animals - amigurumi. Very disappointed. : ( I have taken a few classes to expand my knowledge and techniques in crocheting. The illustrations are not great nor the written instructions in regards to the "how to". I looked through the book a few times, I do like the actual finished animals but the instructions and illustrations in the beginning for people such as myself who want to learn how to make these little stuffed animals - this book did not help me at all! I haven't even looked at more than 6 times - so very frustrating and a waste of money. I went online and found a website that is far more informative and explains the " how it's" much more clearly and easily. The book uses a technique for beginning all the projects in this book that I haven't been able to find a "how to" instructional video on line for .... at least not yet....!? I am very disappointed and wasted my money on a book that I will never use. I would not recommend this book to anyone who is a beginner, though it says it is good for all levels from beginner to advanced. It certainly isn't!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for any skill level Uses basic stitches, which makes these patterns perfect for beginners, but the variety of patterns will keep experienced crocheters interested. Each individual piece of each animal is photographed, which makes the patterns easy to keep up with. I've already made a dust bunny and an octopus and I've only had this book one day. I was looking for little projects I could work on during lunch breaks. This book is just perfect!

If you have the basic crochet stitches down but need a little more guidance for assembly, this book is also a great fit. If you love to support independent designers (and publishers) and are comfortable with a DIY feel to the book, this would also be a great addition to your amigurumi collection." - Underground Crafter blog"From otters to bees and monkeys to lions, no animal is ignored in these amazing books? As the demand for crocheted toys gets larger, these cute critters get even smaller? and more adorable." - Let's Go Crafting Magazine"
