But I warn you, if you don't tell me that this means war, if you still try to defend the infamies and horrors perpetrated by that Antichrist-I really believe he is Antichrist-I will have nothing more to do with you and you are no longer my friend, no longer my 'faithful slave,' as you call yourself! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book #plumreview If viewing the most recent televised miniseries, please give the novel a chance. The adage that great books don't necessarily make great movies bears out as the book far supersedes anything from the tv version.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh I may sound like a philistine, but I just couldn't get into it. I did finish it, but more out of just wanting to say I'd read it. I loved Anna K., and like the "society" parts of this book, but was bored to tears with the "war" parts.
