Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Story Great book and inspirational in it's own way. It's just a great relatable book with a great set of characters and story. ... Personally it didn't exactly inspire me that much. But my life and mentality is difficult that ... until I succeed, nothing will ever truly inspire me to be 100% thankful from at the end of the day. Besides, in the end it's thanks to you and making a decision to act/etc. But ... it is a great experience of a read for many reasons.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Read! This book was insightful and well written. I do think however that I should have read the book before seeing the film. Maybe my perspective would have been different, as I really loved the film version. The ovel itself was great though and contained many insights. I found myself highlighting many passages that I found interesting and which appealed to me personally. Overall, this is definutely one of those books that everyone should read. It will force you to think about the world in a very different way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected Style! This is my first Millman book. I have spent the past year reading uplifting, self-aware, spiritual books that all somehow seem to connect and reinforce the same ideas. Millman's book does the same - reinforces those uplifting, self-empowering, peaceful ways that change your life. But, what was unexpected for me was the humour and emotion in Millman's writing. I found myself laughing out loud, chuckling and holding back tears. The writing style definitely reaches you and is a breath of fresh air after a year of reading more intense, focused 'knowledge' books - this one had all the knowledge and was all pleasure! Excellent read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All time favorite For many years Millman's books have been among my favorites. This is a first in a Trilogy that includes Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior and The Journey of Socrates. Millman himself went though an incredible story, from injury back to Olympic athlete and from those events has created a series of books to help bring out the best in other people. Any of Millman's books are great tools for personal growth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Painful Awakenings of the Real Self Dan Millman's writing is magical and deeply stirring. If you haven't read this book yet, it is a must for anyone who is searching for answers as to what is on the Other Side waiting for them if they decide to begin The Journey. Millman has created a portal in this book, and anyone who picks it up will get electrocuted out of their senses and reality. If you're ready to take the leap, then this book is the place to start. But be warned: you might experience some sort of reality jolts after this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must Read! I read this book and i was absolutly floored by it! The story itself made me feel so many emotions and i just could not put it down!! I also loved the way in which Dan wrote it. His words were so inspiring and poetic. I encourage everyone to buy this book! Also check out the movie "The Peaceful Warrior", based on the book. The acting in the movie is as awe-inspiring as the words in the book!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern Bay Buddha A beautiful film on Dan Millman's personal journey into a life beyond illusions... from a young ambitious and very ego-centric athlete soaking in pride to the humbling experience that gave him the courage to conquer his inner demons... this film is a brilliant portrayal of letting go of who we think we are (identity, ego, intellect, etc) so we can claim the bliss of the moment. In a world dominated by the vices of greed, anger, envy, and lust, etc ... the way of the Peaceful Warrior is like a modern-day rendition of the Buddha story... in the sense that it is all about conquering our demons and living our true selves in service to life.
