We don't feel bloated and heavy after eating and the food does not feel like "losing weight" food. We aren't even on a diet but we definitely feel like we're losing weight ! Also, if you're interested in the "Points Plus" value of each meal, they give you in the end a complete list of the recipes in the book classified by the "Points". On top of that, they give you cooking tips in the end, such as must haves in the kitchen, how to cut certain foods, roasting, freezing, etc. Really worth you're money for what you're getting !!
