Rated 4 out of 5 by from Engaging historical fiction. Draws you into this young immigrant woman's life as she encounters physical hardships and emotional turmoil. Found myself cheering her on as she grew in confidence to become a pillar of strength. Loved this girl! Did not expect how her needlework expertise would 'weave' through her life and lead her to other experiences. Also learned a lot about this time period.
