Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great help! My highly intelligent 8 year old daughter has been struggling with "worries" for the last four years. As a medical professional I sought out all the regular anxiety workbooks for kids and workshops for me but nothing really clicked; her worries were Not the worries "normal" for her age ie not monsters, the dark, new situations, school, etc and she got frustrated with the books that used these examples. Instead her worries were about tsunamis, me dying, where to go to university, climate change.....everyone just told me how strange it was that she was having "teenager" worries...until this book! I borrowed it from the library, and I could see my daughter in it from the first page. I am not even half way through reading but am ordering two copies so that I can have it permanently and have one to loan out to others. THANK YOU to the author. My only request is that I hope you make a child friendly companion work book to go with it as I am sure my daughter would love to read that she is more "normal" then she thinks she is!
