A Full Length Novel of the Redwood Pack

The war between the Redwood Pack and the Centrals is one of wolf legend. Gina Eaton lost both of her parents when a member of their Pack betrayed them. Adopted by the Alpha of the Pack as a child, Gina grew up within the royal family to become an enforcer and protector of her den. She's always known fate can be a tricky and deceitful entity, but when she finds the one man that could be her mate, she might throw caution to the wind and follow the path set out for her, rather than forging one of her own.

Quinn Weston's mate walked out on him five years ago, severing their bond in the most brutal fashion. She not only left him a shattered shadow of himself, but their newborn son as well. Now, as the lieutenant of the Talon Pack's Alpha, he puts his whole being into two things: the safety of his Pack and his son.

When the two Alphas put Gina and Quinn together to find a way to ensure their treaties remain strong, fate has a plan of its own. Neither knows what will come of the Pack's alliance, let alone one between the two of them. The past paved their paths in blood and heartache, but it will take the strength of a promise and iron will to find their future.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Wicked Wolf" by Carrie Ann Ryan. Book 8 in the Redwood Pack series. I read this book in November 2015. This was my review. I so enjoyed this book! The characters of Quinn and Gina are both emotionally driven and really make a beautiful couple. This book is a novella but it's actually a little longer than that which is excellent because the story line really needed this length to give the story a good backbone. This book takes place 15 years after the conclusion of the war between the Redwood Pack and the Central Pack which happens in book 7 "Fighting Fate". You don't need to read the Redwood Pack series to enjoy this book but you would enjoy it more if you are familiar with the Redwood Pack world and characters. This book is a transition book between the two series, The Redwood Pack series and The Talon Pack series. The Redwood Pack and the Talon Pack have always been friendly with each other since the end of the war but it's been 15 years and there have been no cross-pack matings and the packs are not as welcoming to each other as the Alphas of each pack would like. Gina is the Redwood Pack Alpha's adopted daughter and she just learned that she's going to be Enforcer one day. Now, her father has given her the job of co-leading a Pack Council with a lieutenant named Quinn from the Talon pack. Their job is to find a way to get their packs to start to trust each other and get along. When Gina meets Quinn, there is an instant attraction. But when she confronts Quinn that he is a potential mate, he turns her down in the most hurtful way ever. In fact, he says he hates her. How is she supposed to work with someone who hates everything she is? Quinn is on the Pack Council with a female wolf he can't stop thinking about. Gina is his potential mate but he won't give in. He's been hurt before by a mate and to top it off, Gina is half witch. He hates witches. When he's confronted by Gina, he has to make sure she doesn't want him. But is he really protecting his heart? Or is he just scared that he'll get hurt again? LOVED this story! I'm not going to say to much more because I don't want to spoil the story for you. Needless to say, this story is quite emotional. The interaction between all the characters is so well done, you can feel the love and camaraderie between them all. It was nice to see characters from the Redwood Pack in this book and it gives you a look into how far the Redwood Pack has come since the end of the series. I also love the introduction to the new characters from the Talon pack and can't wait to read their stories as well. Overall, I really really liked this book and I wish it was longer! Can't wait to start the first book in the Talon Pack series.
