about

The heat of passion—and danger—rises like jungle fire in this novel of the leopard people by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan…

Called on a dangerous assignment, leopard shifter Conner Vega returns to the Panama rainforest of his homeland, looking every bit the civilized male. But as a member of the most lethal of the shifter tribes, he doesn’t have a civilized bone in his body. He carries the scent of a wild animal in its prime, he bears the soul-crushing sins of past kills—and he’s branded by the scars of shame inflicted by the woman he betrayed.

Isabeau Chandler’s a Borneo shifter who’s never forgiven Conner—or forgotten him. The mating urge is still with her, and when she crosses Connor’s path, passions run like wild fire. But as Connor’s mission draws Isabeau closer, another betrayal lies waiting in the shadows—and it’s the most perilous and intimate one of all.
Christine Feehan is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Carpathian series, the GhostWalker series, the Leopard series, the Shadow Riders series, and the Sea Haven novels, including the Drake Sisters series and the Sisters of the Heart series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wild Fire After reading and absolutely loving the Dark series, I wanted to try out something else written by Christine Feehan. So I picked this series up and I was not disappointed. This series is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from S'okay As a fan of CF, I really enjoyed the Drake Sisters series and the Ghost Walkers series. This Leopard series wasn't too bad either but this book just didn't have the usual intensity to it. I found it rather slow paced and just a bit boring, which surprised me because CF usually writes a great book. I have to give it a 2-star rating. Hopefully, her new book "Water Bound" will be much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leaping Leopards...a beautiful love story! After reading more books that were fair rather than good or great by Christine Feehan of late, she has finally delivered a rock solid effort that is more consistent with her earlier books. This book delivers in every way and is leaps and bounds above the last couple I've read by her. I am so happy to be able say this as she is one of my favourite authors. You know when a book is good when you get so immersed in the storyline that characters seem to come alive. That is what I found with "Wild Fire". I couldn't put it down and finished it within two days. This is the story of Conner and Isabeau. Conner has returned to the Panama Rain Forest for a mission that involves bringing down a drug lord that has kidnapped children from different tribes in order to get the tribe to run drugs. What Conner doesn't realize is that one of the two people that have asked for help from Conner and his team is Isabeau, his mate. Conner betrayed Isabeau on a previous mission that ended with the death of her father. The two have not seen each other since then, even though the mating heat is strong between them especially now that Isabeau is coming into heat and about to discover her leopard. She is prime for any leopard male as her and Conner never officially mated. They will have to learn to forgive and come to terms with both their pasts in order to move forward and accept love. The mission they undertake to get the children back takes a lot of twists and turns especially for Conner. The chemistry between Isabeau and Conner is on fire! There are so many great moments in this book between the two. The other characters in this book are just fantastic and make it feel very family and pride like. Christine Feehan has taken the time to make the reader understand the leopard shifter. Isabeau and Conner are such strong characters that I was swept away to the Panama and into a beautiful love story. Highly recommended!!! You do not have to read previous books in order to follow along with this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great name! I really enjoyed this book and it seems to pick up where the last book left off and pulls characters from the other stories into it. Superbly written with just enough intensity to make you want to keep reading. Love the series!!!
