All new reforestation plantings on the Air Station include 10 percent hardwoods (above) to provide benefits to wildlife. District Game Biologist Sam Poole (center) observes one of the many wildlife plantings made on the Station. The Sta tion's Conservation Department's forestry program includes leaving enough mast trees (like the white oak below) to pro vide wildlife food during the winter.
