"Open this diverting tale of family dysfunction and you'll find a holiday package filled with humor, romance and realism." --USA Today

Kelley Quinn is the owner of Nantucket's Winter Street Inn and the proud father of four grown children: Patrick, a hedge fund manager; Kevin, a bartender; Ava, a school teacher; and Bart, who has recently shocked everyone by joining the Marines. As Christmas approaches, Kelley looks forward to spending the holidays with his family at the inn. But when he walks in on his wife Mitzi kissing another man, utter chaos descends, and things only get more interesting when Kelley's ex-wife, news anchor Margaret Quinn, arrives on the scene.

Before the mulled cider is gone, the delightfully dysfunctional Quinn family will survive a love triangle, an unplanned pregnancy, a federal crime, and endless rounds of Christmas caroling in this heart-warming novel about coming home for the holidays.
Elin Hilderbrand made a paper angel ornament in third grade that is still in her family's custody. She celebrates the holidays by making batches of homemade mustard and chive pine nut dip and gifting them to her lucky friends. Her favorite carol is "O Holy Night."Winter Streetis her fourteenth novel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Christmas Read I enjoyed this book because it reminded me of Hallmark Christmas movies but in book form. I also enjoyed it because it reminded me that maybe my own Christmas isn't the only one that is full of chaos, headache, and confusion. It was slow starting and didn't have the best ending but knowing there is a sequel, I give it some extra stars. A good read to snuggle up and feel the holiday spirit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome read! I read this over New Years after reading the second one in the trilogy, not knowing it was a trilogy. Such a good read for the winter holidays realizing that there are crazy families out there, even ones created just for the purpose of a good read.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Christmas read, cozy by a fire! This was a very cute book to read! Around the holiday time its always nice to know there are families (even fake ones) that are crazies, busier and provide more drama then your own! The family is addictive, make sure you have book two and three on hand because you will want to know what happens next!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's all about the door! That door on the cover is the best part! A pretty and charming package, with a fine story. Fits the bill for a cozy Sunday under a blanket with a hot cup of tea or coffee. It's not too memorable but it has it's moments. Great to pack up in a weekend bag for a trip to the cottage. You can probably finish this in a sitting. The characters aren't too dull but I wouldn't call them interesting either. Honestly, it's the setting of the story that makes it worthy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing finish A great story with a terrible ending. So much is left unresolved. Unless there is a sequel on the way, this is a very disappointing ending to an otherwise captivating novel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rather a bland read.... I love Elin Hilderbrands books and have read every one. This one however, is very weak and dull. The ending is very random and there is little character development, which was a shame, because the potential was very good. Now its possible that she was writing a shorter, Christmas novel, but I think she would have been better off it set it at Christmas, but write a full length book up to her usual standings. Im afraid I really would recommend this book only with hesitation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Winter Steet Nice light read. Was enjoying until it kind of abruptly ended, which makes me think a sequel is in the works.
