Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely! I've loved every Discworld novel I've read, but the witches have always been my favourite. There's just nothing like Granny Weatherwax staring down a charging bull!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my all time favourites! I had never heard of discworld before. These darn witches were so entertaining, the writing, the personalities. I liked that even though I had not read any of the series before I could pick this up and have a story start to end that I enjoyed. This is a writer that didn't take too seriously what he was writing and the story, the characters come to life in their silly but serious ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Terry Pratchett You can't find an author that compares with Terry Pratchett's story telling abilities. So funny, smart and witty. Having read all his books I am at a loss of where to turn to next and nothing else measures up. Make sure you read these books in order of publication or you miss so many references and jokes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adore it An excellent work of turning tropes on their heads in interesting and wonderful ways. It's a sequel, so read Wyrd Sisters first (which is even better).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Best! I have over the years read and reread all of the Discworld books, bar the one to be published in September. I must say I still find this to be one of my favourite Discworld books. I still laugh out loud at times as I read it. Buy it and enjoy a great story!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Witches Abroad Part of the Discworld series. In this novel, Granny Weatherwax and her coven of witches must travel to the distant city of Genua to prevent a young servant girl from marrying the prince. Pratchett, with his usual sense of humour, satirizes not only the fairy tale genre but also foreign travel, voodoo and the Mardi Gras. This novel should please the avid fantasy fan, as well as the casual reader.

• "A true original among contemporary writers." --The Times

 • "Pratchett's writing is a constant delight. No one mixes the fantastical and mundane to better comic effect or offers sharper insights into the absurdities of modern endeavour." --Daily Mail
