Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Coloring Book Apparently, it isn't 2016 unless everyone you know has an adult coloring book. Disclaimer: I'm totally guilty of joining in on the hype. There is nothing more relaxing than spending time unwinding and coloring. So I was excited to see that Christian book publishers are now joining the coloring book phenomenon. In my mind, coloring books should have 3 things: 1. Beautiful illustrations in an engaging subject. 2. A variety of images to color--a good range of complexity and subjects. 3. Heavy paper so you can use pencil, markers, crayons, etc. Wonders of Creation did not disappoint. I loved the illustrations in this book; they range from trees, plants, and scenic landscapes to forest creatures, insects, and ocean animals. My favorites were the raccoon, horse, and peacock--there will definitely be something for everyone in this book. My only complaint is that it wasn't larger and that the pages weren't perforated (so you can't easily tear them from the book--but you can always cut them out). Whether you are a die-hard coloring book fan or curious about the bandwagon, I recommend you add this book to your collection. It's a great reminder to appreciate God's creation (and perhaps spend time in prayer) as you color the pages and a cool ministry opportunity if you share the pages with friends. Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Editorial Reviews

This is fast becoming one of my all-time favorite coloring books. I just love the style of all the intricate creatures and settings. The penguin was so much fun to scope out and choose colors for. Of course I didn't go with the traditional white and black. I decided to go with pinks, blues, purples etc. My penguin really looks like a garden full of colors. I also had a ton of fun doing the tortoise. I think my coloring ended up stunning. You can see some of my coloring's from this book at: https://coloring.nightowlreviews.com/V5/Coloring/Articles/Wonders-Of-Creation-Coloring-Book-by-Tammie-KingI also love the two page coloring scenes. I completed the fish pond one a while ago while enjoying a Starbucks on a sunny balcony at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, OR. What a great memory. It was so hot! But I loved coloring right out in the open with so much activity and people watching. Coloring doesn't have to be just an introvert hobby.Overall I look forward to completing all the coloring pages in this book. There are so many great ones to choose from. If you do a coloring, share it on Twitter. #NORColoring. I will be sharing mine at that hashtag.
