A synopsis of WOW!

First of all, I like to give glory to God!
I am a searcher and a researcher.
I think, the scope of this book is extremely wide.
Human behavior is analyzed in fundamental terms.
The heroes, the villains, the victims, the heroic victims and the villainous victims and the roles, the costumes, the habits, the attitudes and the values, all are explored systematically.
Freedom, Love and Truth are defined and explained with great clarity.
Man's religious and cultural experiences are elaborated with logical images.
This book, I believe, could be hailed as historic.
Perhaps, a Nobel Prize material???

A Review by Philip Getting, MB. B.S. (Properties Medical Clinic)

I have known the author of "Wow", Mr. Kuruvilla Thomas Elamatha (pen name: anindocanadian), for some years.

To talk about "the meaning of life" with a scientific perspective is not easy. Mr. Elamatha has attempted to do the same. The author doesn't pretend to know all the answers. His purpose is to provoke thoughts and promote discussions.

The Shakespearean phrase, "The world is a stage and we are all actors and actresses," is analyzed in a multidisciplinary fashion. The makeup and costumes one takes on, the roles, the characters with unique characteristics people portray, are explored with examples. The habits, the attitudes, and the values are described as personal traits.

The notion that space and time as eternal is novel!

Man's religious and cultural experiences are explained with logical images. The theme of this "extravaganza" called life is man's continuous quest for freedom, truth, and love.

This book is quite kaleidoscopic and a pleasant read.

I recommend this book to anyone, especially those who are the "meaning seekers".

A Review by Dr. Clara A.B. Joseph (University of Calgary)

There are very few success books out there that at once span the physical, the psychological, and the spiritual and have the child as its main subject. WOW! A Meaning of Life, however, is one such find. It is a book about the child as a hero and an anti-hero. It discusses the hero, the victim, and the villain as having various characteristics. The categories are never simplistic, and the book takes us to the next level of understanding these varieties.

The book begins with an epigraph on the theme of the search for meaning taken from Kumaran Asan, an activist and poet of British India. This search on ethical grounds marks the rest of the book. The pages flow seamlessly between considerations on the material world and thoughts on the non-material aspects. It considers the "dynamic phenomenon" of conscious love and truth and the place of freedom in between. Here, freedom itself may not be unrelated to the "epidemiology of evil": the study of how the plant and animal world (that which existed before us, the author reminds us) and its diseases may have become the "the forbidden fruit" of the Book of Genesis.

What is striking about this book are the brief narratives that serve to illustrate and simplify otherwise complex theories. Each chapter is divided into sections with eye-catching titles - for instance, "Beauty and the Beast" considers the role of technology and the visual media on personality; "The Sound of Music" concludes - "Communication between parents and children . . . would be meaningful only if what one has to say reflects the interests, needs, and self-actualization of all parties involved." But one sad reality, the author reminds us, is that "Some parents fail to realize that the personality of a child can change from one grade to another, depending on the environment and on physical and psychological changes."

In the final chapter - on truth, we see once again the analogy drawn between the scientific and the theolog

anindocanadian was born and educated in India, and he has worked in both India as well as North America. His ambition is to eradicate leprosy in the world, and he wants to erect a leprosy monument that can help raise funds for those afflicted by the disease.
