Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think this is my favourite writing help book so far! Highly recommend for anyone who wants inspiration & splendidly helpful tools for polishing your writing! It even has sections for dealing with that nagging critic in our heads and how to handle negative criticism from others. <b>"The receptive writer must convert debate into conversation. A debate ends with a winner and a loser. A conversation can conclude with both sides learning, and a promise of more good talk to come."</b>

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to chew bites. This little book gives out helpful hints like hors 'doeuvres - in small bites that are easy to digest. Read just one and apply it, or more for a rounder appreciation of the writing craft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice book that guides you to build your own writer's toolbox There are many types of instructional books out there teaching us about the art of better writing. Some of them focus on the craft of the "how- to" in terms of sentences, paragraphs, punctuation, chapters, plots to editing and sometimes marketing; others focus on the spirits of the writers from forming a writer's group to bypassing writer's block. In writing tools, Clark covers all topics in a precise and fun fashion. The thing that I appreciate most - it's the idea that we can use this book as a guide to build our own writer's toolbox in the life-long quest of writing.
