Rated 4 out of 5 by from A strangely organized but effective an important look at the forgotten genocide in the Ottoman Empire This book translated from France is a look at the Assyrian Genocide. It is important because it shows that there were other victims of Ottoman genocide than the Armenians and the standard justification given by Turkey is false. There were no Assyrian terror groups so why were they deported? I also like how the author outlined the persecution of Assyrians throughout history like under the Magians and the response of neutral organizations to the genocide. The author also gives a brief look at the depredations of Isis. My only complaint details how it is organized it is not done in a linear way like most genocides but is "all over the map. However, it is not disorganized enough to be hard to follow. Overall it is a good beginner's guide to the Assyrian Genocide
