Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great resource! I love this book! As the other reviews have mentioned, it's definitely not a beginner resource. While she does cover some need to know aspects of canning quite well, if you're new to canning you should definitely seek out other resources for the basics and use this as a place for generating ideas about to preserve specific foods in different ways. It doesn't have a ton of recipes, but it does have some popular Maritime ones, as well as some new spins on classic Maritime preserves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So close I was really excited to find this book as I am interested in canning local products this upcoming season. It does have some good information but it uses terms that an inexperienced person like myself does not understand. It doesn't have a step-by-step guide on the canning process but does contain some interesting recipes. I wasn't expecting to need to go to other resources to get basic information.
