about

A perfect anniversary, valentine or just a romantic gift for special moments.

"love is more thicker than forget
more thinner than recall
more seldom than a wave is wet
more frequent than to fail" (E E Cummings)

Love is always kind. It is enduring. It does not bear a grudge. Love always trusts. It is never selfish. It is unbound. It is hopeful. It always defends. However, love, as we all know, is a two-sided thing; with the joy comes the pain!

“The hottest love has the coldest end.” - Socrates

Whereas the joy of love comes as a swift flowing river, the pain when arrives, is always more intense, more unbearable, and sharper - the river of joy comes first and then follows the vast ocean of pain. Love and pain - these are the two powerful emotions that almost all of the classic poets have touched in their work.

A collection of sixty-one famous love poems of some of the most influential poets like Emily Dickinson, Christina Rossetti, E E Cummings, Sara Teasdale, Amy Lowell, Robert Browning, John Clare, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Ella Wheeler Wilcox, and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, "YOU left me, sweets, two legacies" is a collection to savour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just loved it! love is more thicker than forget more thinner than recall more seldom than a wave is wet more frequent than to fail it is most mad and moonly and less it shall unbe than all the sea which only is deeper than the sea That is how it starts – A reflection on two sides of love, the beginning of this collection of famous love poems “YOU left me, sweets, two legacies.” How wonderfully fitting, wouldn’t you say? Reading Buried Love, make you think how abruptly a relationship could end and change a life. It does not matter if you are young or old. Love, after all, never loses its meaning. Reading Emily Dickinson made me love her writing so much but so did Christina Rossetti and Sara Teasdale and every other poet. Once you read all fifty -one poems, you would find it hard to pick your favourite. That is how good the collection is – the author has picked best of the work of all the poets. IN the spring I asked the daisies If his words were true, And the clever, clear-eyed daisies [And the clever little daisies ] Always knew. If I were you, I would buy this book and read a poem a day. WHEN roses cease to bloom, dear, And violets are done, When bumble-bees in solemn flight Have passed beyond the sun, And it goes on… A gem of a book, a keeper!
