about

From the cracked minds of Matthew Leo and Melissa Leo-Pahl:

Comes a story of survival, hardship, and love in the throes of the Zombie Apocalypse!

A mind altering super-drug paired with a mutagenic virus, sweeps the world and covers it in chaotic death. Leaving only a sparse handful of the living left to inherit what remains.

From different states, and all walks of life, these young survivors awake to find their world shattered beyond repair. Seeking one another out, eyes ever watchful, as death and the undead await them around every blind corner.

And from the ashes rises the Zombie King! A man with secrets of his own, his past, hidden in the shadows. Food is scarce now for the undead. His biggest secret, puts him at the top of the food chain! This indeed spells trouble, for our "fortunate" survivors.

 May fortune favor the foolish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A DARK AND DIRE READ Not for the Faint of Heart This book lived up to the hype that I was hearing and seeing all over the internet. This books hits home in a very big way. You think The Walking Dead is realistic? This guy paints his zombiverse with his words. After a couple of chapters, I didn't even see his words anymore. The book played out in my head like a movie. It has what you want in a ZomPoc novel. Action out the ying-yang. Many characters trying to run around and find their way. Lots and lots of character change. These people are put through the test. Through the wringer. And the author gives equal time to each of them. The Zombie King is unlike any other zombie that is out there is the Zombiverse. He becomes evil incarnate, and his plot twist leaves you begging for more. I for one will be buying several copies to give out to some of my zombie lovin' friends. I hope that one day, some one does make a movie out of this. IT WOULD BE EPIC!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EPIC ZOMBIE READ! This book read out just like a movie in my head. Their words effortlessly flowed off of every page as I could not stop reading it. A few of the main characters stood out right from the start. The 'apocalyptic angel' Charlie was completely hard core in every way imaginable but still very vulnerable to the life she now had to live. Fayte, a seven year old girl lost to the apocalypse, leaving a trail of poems and graffiti behind her in hopes that someone would stumble upon her. And the mysterious Byron, left behind in a town to wake up as its only living survivor. The Junction City Boys are a dynamic force to be reckoned with. While Jace and his kid sister try to find stability among the rubble. A set of twins both struggle to survive and find themselves. While all of the survivors find themselves being pawns in the Zombie King's game of chance. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. It was an epic read.
