Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect type (for me) Definitely exactly what I wanted/needed. My relatives went more for the charge HR because they really wanted heart rate and such but this kept all I wanted (more for sleep/calories/steps/minutes active). Plus it's very small and doesn't have a big screen or anything which I like. It just looks like a simple black bracelet. Battery lasts me usually about 5 days. Only problem is the clasp? I work in the field and if I reach my hand in somewhere it might pop off easier than if it had a watch-like buckle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I USED to like it, until it died... I bought this towards the end of June 2014. It WAS a really nice gadget to keep track of my diet, activities, etc. I stopped wearing for the past few months it because I sustained a knee injury playing tennis. After full recovery, I wanted to resume wearing it again but it died! It charges fine but the battery drains within a few hours. I contacted Fitbit support and the rep said "I can confirm that your fitbit flex has hardware issues". I was offered a 25% off towards any fitbit product. The rep was kind enough to confirm that the product comes with limited warranty for 12 months but I am no longer covered by the warranty. I had the product for a year and a half, with about 15 months of wear. I'd be a fool to part with my money again buying this defective product. The fitbit flex battery issue seems ubiquitous on the internet. I'm chalking this purchase up as a $10/month "fitness membership" that I will NOT be renewing. I'd advise you to look elsewhere for wearable technology unless you are fine with the product breaking down in about a year's time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great motivator, hate the band. Have not taken my flex off since I got it 5 months ago. It is a good reality check, I thought I was "athletic" and a "mover". Fitbit showed me I was 1/2 way between sedentary and lightly active. I like the reminders that I get, and feel motivated. I have lost 50 lbs and this tool helped.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from awful wristband closure I like the Fitbit itself, but the wristband is near impossible to latch tightly. Going to get the Fitbit Charge HR which has a regular buckle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I got the Fitbit a week ago for my birthday and I absolutely love it so far. I wanted to get one because I have an office job and really wanted something that would motivate me to keep moving throughout the day, whether that meant going for a walk at lunch or getting off the bus a few stops has really made a difference! I was also really surprised at how much I love the sleep tracking is so interesting and accurate from what I can tell, and it really makes me think about how much I sleep and also how well. Awesome product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps me moving! I got this for a Christmas present last year and I am still using it daily to measure my goals. Tracking my steps every day, and looking at my sleep patterns help with some "issues" to do with fibromyalgia. I had a couple of problems with the Fitbit (battery not charging up, and the wristband splitting) and both times, the company sent me new ones for free. I would recommend this to other people who just want to keep moving and get healthy (maybe not for diehard exercise fanatics who might need something more sophisticated). I gave one to my sister and I do mention it to friends.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved my FitBit Flex until it stopped working I absolutely loved my FitBit Flex but it only lasted 3 months which is very disappointing given the $100 price tag. FitBit says that they will ship me a new one to replace the defective one but after 10 days I am still waiting. I am very disappointed with the reliability of the product and the customer service of the company. They do not even have a phone number for you to call with inquiries only email.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Do what it should do, but not perfect I have had this for a couple of months. At first, I love it a lot as it keeps me motivated to exercise. It still does, don't get me wrong, but there are just something about this device that disappoint me a little. First of all, it does not has a clock, If I ever want to wear a watch as well, I would either wear it on my right hand, which is not convenient; or wear it on the same wrist as this device, which just looks awkward and is not comfortable at all. Secondly, it says that it is water resistant, but after believing it and swam a couple of times with it, the wristband started to have a really strange smell, presumably the smell of rubber band reacting with all the chemicals in the water. I had to change the rubber band. (being able to change the band is a pretty nice feature though, I really wanted a nike fuel band but after saw the one the nice lady in nike store had on her wrist, I decided not to have it). Last, it is not pretty. I know how it looks like before I bought it, but I still have to say, it is so not pretty. So hard to hide it since it is summer. And the different colours don't make it any better. But after all, it is a solid product and does what it supposed to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought one of these in January and it's made it so much easier to keep track of my fitness goals. It's fun to see everything charted in the app. It's comfortable too, like wearing a watch. I recommend it to anyone, tech savvy or not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not compatible with iPhone 4 & Does not track heart rate The best thing about the fitbit is the the website and app - both work really well and can track caloric intake against what you are burning. I find this a great motivator! I really liked my fitbit at first - its comfortable to wear and easy to use. I had to play around with the tightness of the bracelet to get a fit I liked, but it comes with two sizes, so there is quite a bit of flexibility. The really big disappointment for me is its compatibility - I cannot sync with my iPhone 4, even though I was told in-store when I was making the purchase that I could. This means that I don't get any activity updates during the day, which is really when I need the motivation (I'm at a desk all day). Also, the device doesn't track heart rate, so it can only measure how "active" you are by the number of steps you are taking in a limited time period. Therefore, jogging/running is easily tracked and the associated calories burned are measured by the app, but other cardio activities like cycling are not recorded very well - you need to enter them manually into the device log and calculate the calories yourself. Without being able to track the number of steps taken until the end of the day and without a heart rate monitor, the usefulness of the Flex is pretty limited for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me motivated! I am really enjoying my fitbit flex. I had seen it other reviews it was difficult to set up, so I was somewhat nervous about that part.  As completely un-techy as I am I found the set up quite simple.  You just have to remember to recharge every ~ 5 days or the count will be off.  Had I heard about it before, I probably would have bought the fitbit force instead: it counts stairs climbed as well.  Overall, great product and it syncs easily with many other fitness apps.  May give you that extra push you need to stay active.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to wear My biggest concern was that it would drive me bonkers to wear something around my wrist all day and night. Turns out not to be an issue at all. The wristband is very soft and unobtrusive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love my fitbit What could make it better would be easier entry/exit into sleep mode. Something on device that lets me know that battery is getting low and maybe better instructions as i had a great deal of difficulty getting the app on my phone to work. Since then i love it and the reports that i get. Easy to wear.
