Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First class presentation of one of humanity's finest achievements! I love this whole series. Each of the 12 episodes looks at different aspects of each Apollo mission from its beginnings in the Mercury and Gemini programs up to the last steps on the Moon. This series is a drama, not a documentary. The idea is to take you there and introduce you to the people who made the journey from the Earth to the Moon and to those that made it possible, from the politicians to the scientists and engineers to the press and to the wives of the astronauts. This is no dry recounting of history, this is high human drama! The series does a great job of answering the question "why did we spend all the money and effort to go to the Moon?" It was so we could learn about ourselves, our origins, and our place in the universe.
