"The Boys Next Door" is a grim tale of seemingly ordinary teenagers, who, after graduation from high-school, embark on a wild time out in Los Angeles. As the night wears on, their rowdy good time turns into a brutal crime spree, as the boys randomly attack pedestrians and assault a woman who makes the mistake of picking them up in a bar. The teens' mayhem ultimately ends in a violent confrontation when they become trapped in a suburban shopping mall.
Two high school boys, just about to graduate, go on a senseless murder spree to relieve the ennui of their drab existences.
James Wong and Glen Morgan later went on to become two of the most popular writers on the TV series, "The X-Files." They left that show when they created "Space: Above and Beyond," for the Fox Network. They serve as executive producers and writers on that series.
