A remake of the terrifying 1960 sci-fi thriller, directed by horror master John Carpenter.
For 10 hours, something -- or someone -- causes all the residents of a small town in Northern California to black out. Shortly thereafter, ten women end up pregnant, and the babies they give birth to have startling physical similarities: they're all albino, with particularly vivid, piercing green eyes. Soon several of the adults in the village begin dying mysteriously, often by their own hand. Obstetricians Alan Chaffee and Susan Verner -- who assisted at the children's mass birth -- realize that these devilish offspring must be responsible for the horror. Now the good doctors had better work fast to destroy this progeny of hell... or the kids will destroy them first.
Horror master John Carpenter offers this remake of the classic 1960 sci-fi thriller. Ten women simultaneously get pregnant in a sleepy California town, giving birth to a brood of platinum-haired geniuses whose psychic powers reign terror on the town. From John Wyndham's 1957 novel, "The Midwich Cuckoos."
