Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Movie with Great Subject Matter but a Lack of Execution The story about the hunt of Osama Bin Laden is very intriguing. I am not American, but I still remember the day he was announced to have been found and killed. I was looking forward to this movie because I wanted to know how it all went down. I may not agree with the politics behind this film, but I still really wanted to see this film. However, I think they fell flat. The movie is a collection of little events that end up getting to bin Laden. I found there was a lack of flow and focus. This can be seen no where better than with the main character, portrayed by Jessica Chastain. She starts the film young and innocent. However with almost a snap of the finger becomes a veteran using torture. There is no build up in her character, it all happens at once. By the end of the movie she is obsessed with find bin Laden. That would of been fine if it progressed, but her transformation happens all at once. Jason Clarke gives the best performance of the movie, but is only in it for the first part. Joel Edgerton has an extremely small part. Kyle Chandler and James Gandolfini have bigger roles than Edgerton, but not by much. Overall the movie is beyond interesting, but not well written or executed.
