Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Complete Album Ever The album is quite possibly Daft Punks greatest work, and their most complete. Each track is an expert live mix of two of their best hits, which I will comment on individually: Robot Rock/Oh Yeah: Although I despised both original tracks this song is very well done. Extremely climactic, starting with a prolonged clash between the words “Robot” “Human” the song makes an excellent start to the album. This track is much less repetitive than the original Robot Rock and I consider it a favourable alternative (8/10). Touch It/Technologic: This track, like the first begins strong and ends strong. It’s also feels a lot more hip hoppy and beaty (are those words?) than the original “Technologic” do to the inclusion of “Touch It” (8.5/10). Television Rules the Nation/Crescendolls: An excellent track, it’s into with “Around the World” is intense, but the song really reaches a fever pitch with the introduction of Cressendolls. One of the best tracks, really gets your heart pumping (9.5/10). Too Long/Steam Machine: An interesting track which seems to include original synth lines. It’s ending is slowly built up but, as it’s title suggests, the song is so long you might not have the patience to wait for it (7/10). Around the World/Harder Better Faster Stronger: This song simply rocks, it is probably the most complex mix and is arguably the best track on the album, the ending is insane (10). Burnin'/Too Long: Starts off strong but degenerates, slowly winding the listener down from the high caused by the previous track, a descent song (7/10). Face to Face/Short Circuit: It’s an exciting track which has “Harder Better Faster Stronger” subtly hidden in the background. It feels a lot more exciting than the original “Face to Face” once it gets going (8.5/10). One More Time/Aerodynamic: This song is grate; it starts with “One More Time” and then unleashes the guitar solo into the core of the song. It is much more fun to dance to than the original (9/10). Aerodynamic Beats/Forget About the World: This track is a pleasing track, very soothing… unfortunately I felt it was a bit of a come down after it’s preceding track as it seems more like a song to relax to than to party to (8/10). Prime Time of Your Life/Brainwasher/Rollin' and Scratchin'/Alive: This possesses all the characteristics of a rave song. It is long, intense, and built more for dancing too than listening too. Still a good track especially the into and “Rollin’ and Scrachin’” (7.5/10). Da Funk/Daftendirekt: This song is excellent, plain and simple. It’s problem very similar to the original Da Funk but it is a much more exciting track to listen too (9/10). Superheroes/Human After All/Rock'n Roll: This song is absolutely superb, the album could not end better, I never believed a song could be this climactic. It definitely gives me chills (10/10).
