  1. Does this Free Shipping offer apply to all books?
    • Yes, Free Shipping applies to all books, including audio books that we sell at Indigo. However, some books are not eligible to be Shipped to Store, due to size requirements. Those limitations will be noted on the product page for those items.
  2. I just placed an order for some gifts from Indigo plus a book for me. Does this free shipping offer apply only to the book?
    • Our free shipping offer will apply to any Plum member on any order that includes at least 1 book. So all your items, books or not, will ship for free (subject to our shipping terms & conditions) provided you have at least 1 book in your order.
  3. Does my book need to be currently in stock, to qualify for the Free Shipping?
    • No, free shipping applies to all books whether they are in stock, on backorder or pre-order.
  4. Why do I have to get your rewards program? I have enough cards in my wallet.
    • Plum® Rewards is free to join, and you aren’t required to carry the card. When you join online, we assign your rewards information directly to your account, so there’s nothing for you to keep track of. All your points accrue automatically when you make purchases, plus of course now you’ll get to take advantage of Free Shipping anytime you make a purchase that includes at least one book.
  5. I’m a Rewards member and I have placed a book in my cart to order, but I notice I am still being charged for shipping. Why?
    • Our Free Shipping offer still has some terms and conditions: If your purchase includes any oversized or especially heavy items, we aren’t able to offer Free Shipping for those. You’ll see individual item eligibility on every product page while you shop with us. As well, due to excessive costs some very remote areas of Canada are not eligible to receive the Free Shipping offer. These terms have not changed and will continue to be communicated as part of our Free Shipping Terms & Conditions
  6. Why do I have to be a member to get good customer service?
    • Even though the Plum® Rewards program is free to join we can certainly understand that it may not be for everyone. That said, regardless of whether you are a member, you’ll still get great service from Indigo: with Free Shipping to any store with no minimum purchase, and Free Shipping to your home with only a $25 minimum spending amount – very much in line with the offerings of other similar online retailers. The Plum® Rewards program allows you to earn points for your purchases at Indigo, along with other Members-only events and activities throughout the year.
  7. On purchases without books, do I have to spend $25 to get free shipping?
    • Yes, but as always you do have the option to ship your items for pickup at any of our store locations, for free, with no minimum spend.
  8. Are there any books that are not eligible for Free Shipping?
    • All physical and audio books purchased from Indigo are eligible for our Free Shipping to your home.
  9. I don’t use plum, but I am a rewards member. Will I be able to take advantage of the offer?
    • Yes, the offer is open to all Indigo Rewards members. If you aren’t a member yet, plum rewards is your best option.

To enjoy free shipping on eligible orders, please select “Free Standard Shipping” at checkout. Parcels eligible for free shipping are usually delivered in 1-9 business days, depending on stock availability, warehouse location and shipping destination.

Free Shipping Eligibility Requirements:

  • Offer applies only to orders of merchandise, excluding gift wrap charges and taxes. Promotional coupons and irewards discounts and plum point redemptions where applicable will be deducted from your item subtotal and may affect your order's Free Shipping eligibility. The purchase of gift cards and electronic gift cards do not count towards the Free Shipping offer.
  • Certain items are not eligible for Free Shipping based on their size. Items that are not eligible for Free Shipping will be noted on item pages.
  • Items shipping to some remote postal codes are not eligible for Free Shipping.
  • Cancelling items may affect your order's eligibility for Free Shipping.

We always offer free shipping to any retail store for most items with no minimum purchase required. Your order may take up to one week longer to ship from our warehouse when you select the Free Ship to Store option. We will contact you when your order arrives at the store and is ready for pick up. Identification is required when picking your order up.

RUSH SHIPPING

To use rush shipping on eligible orders and postal codes, please select “Rush Shipping” at checkout. Accurate shipping charges will be reflected in the Order Total Section of Secure Checkout.

Orders placed before noon (12:00pm) ET on business days (Monday-Friday, not including holidays) will arrive on the next business day. Orders placed after the noon (12:00pm) deadline or on non-business days will arrive within 2 business days.

Rush Shipping Eligibility Requirements:

  • Certain items are not eligible for Rush Shipping based on their size. Items that are eligible for Rush Shipping will be noted on item pages.
  • Items shipping to locations outside of Major Urban Centres may not be eligible for Rush Shipping.

Free Returns

Most items may be returned for a full refund up to 30 days from the shipping date. Items must be in their original condition.

Bring the item(s) and the packing slip to any store and we’ll be happy to apply the refund to your original payment card or online account.

Return Your Item through Canada Post:

Follow these 3 easy steps to return your item(s) through Canada Post.

Sign into your Account Centre, visit your order history and view the order you wish to return. Select ‘request a return’. If you purchased as a guest, use the guest order lookup tool.

Print the return label and attach it to the outside of your parcel.

Bring your parcel to any Canada Post outlet. Items with our return label will ship free.
