With new COVID guidelines in place to protect our partner carriers, when delivering to apartments, parcels will not be brought up to the apartment door. Carriers will leave parcels in the lobby if they can gain access to the building with a buzz code or are let in by the tenant. If they can’t access the building, parcels will be delivered to a pickup location.

Free Shipping Eligibility Requirements:

  • Offer applies only to orders of merchandise, excluding gift wrap charges and taxes. Promotional coupons, irewards discounts and plum point redemptions where applicable will be deducted from your item subtotal and may affect your order's Free Shipping eligibility. The purchase of gift cards and electronic gift cards do not count towards the Free Shipping offer.
  • Certain items are not eligible for Free Shipping based on their size. Items that are not eligible for Free Shipping will be noted on item pages.
  • Items shipping to some remote postal codes are not eligible for Free Shipping.

Free Contactless Curbside Pickup

Once you have selected all your items, select FREE SHIP TO STORE and select your store. If all your items are available in store, your order will default to Express Pickup, with pickup available as early as next day. Otherwise your items will ship from our warehouse to your store a few days later. We will notify you when your order is ready for pickup. This delivery option is free, fast, safe and convenient.

RUSH SHIPPING

To use rush shipping on eligible orders and postal codes, please select “Rush Shipping” at checkout. Accurate shipping charges will be reflected in the Order Total Section of Secure Checkout.

Orders placed before noon (12:00pm) ET on business days (Monday-Friday, not including holidays) will arrive on the next business day. Orders placed after the noon (12:00pm) deadline or on non-business days will arrive within 2 business days.

DELIVERY BY APPOINTMENT

If you have ordered an oversize item that cannot deliver with one of our standard ground carriers, a delivery appointment will be scheduled for your item. Once your order is placed, our delivery partner will call you at the telephone number provided on your order to schedule a delivery appointment. Please ensure that you are available to accept delivery during your scheduled delivery appointment window.

Our delivery partner will do their best to safely deliver to the doorstep of your house. If you live in an apartment or condominium, your item will be delivered to the front door of your building and you will need to arrange delivery to your unit.

If changes to your appointment are required after it has been confirmed, please call our delivery partner directly to make any changes.

To maintain the safety of our customers and community, our delivery partners will follow COVID-19 safety protocols mandated in your delivery region.

Free Returns

General: Most items may be returned for a full refund up to 30 days from the shipping date with proof of purchase.

Guaranteed Great Reads Eligibility: Items identified as Heather’s Picks, Staff Picks of the Month, or promoted online and in stores as Indigo’s Best Books of the Year, may be returned at any time and in any condition for a full refund or exchange with proof of purchase. Eligible items returned without proof of purchase will be gladly exchanged or a store credit issued. Indigo.ca returns more than 30 days after purchase must be returned to any Chapters, Indigo, IndigoSpirit, or Coles store. We reserve the right to modify or to cancel the terms of this guarantee at any time and without further notice.

Holiday Returns: In order to make sure you have as much flexibility as you need to shop with us for all your gifting needs, we’ve extended our returns policy. Online orders with a shipping date between September 12, 2022 and December 9, 2022 can be returned in store or online up until January 11, 2023. Purchases made in store between September 12, 2022 and December 9, 2022 can be returned in store up until January 11, 2023.

Bring the item(s) and the packing slip to any store and we’ll be happy to apply the refund to your original payment card or Indigo gift card.

Return Your Item through Canada Post:

Follow these 3 easy steps to return your item(s) through Canada Post.

Sign into your Account Centre, visit your order history and view the order you wish to return. Select ‘request a return’. If you purchased as a guest, use the guest order lookup tool.

Print the return label and attach it to the outside of your parcel.

Bring your parcel to any Canada Post outlet. Items with our return label will ship free.
