Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kind of bloomed It was great at first, I saw small grown and was really excited. However after the first signs of growth, it slowly started dying. I dont know if it wasnt getting enough sun or water, but I was bummed that it didnt grow like the photos.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just buy seads It's probably cheaper to buy seeds and grow in an existing pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does work I received the basil cube for Christmas and, yes, it does work. It definitely took longer to grow as indicated from the instructions, and it did not grow that large. I think the time of year has an impact on this. I started the process in the winter time and therefore, I was not able to plant it outside until about 5-6 months later. I could have probably moved it into a larger pot and still kept it inside so that it grew larger. Either way, its a really cute gift idea :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They All Grew!! Some colleagues and I bought one of each of these ECO Cubes to grown in our office. Every single one has grown! Some took longer then what was stated on the instructions, but they have all grown. Basil has grown the fastest sprout after only 4 days. Lavender took almost two weeks longer to sprout then the instructions stated. Some are slow to grow, others shot up like weeds. With some patients and persistence we were able to get everything to grow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I read the reviews and was worried that my Basil would not grow. But I took a chance. So this is a mid point review. I followed the instructions and within about a couple of days I see some greenery :) Nothing big yet.. but I got 3 sprouts.. So far I am happy with it... :) I will write another review in a couple of weeks...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mine grew! Followed the instructions and now have a fresh green basil plant. It took a little longer than the instructions said but patience paid off. Love the fact that it's eco friendly and that the cube becomes fertilizer when planted. Would definitely try out another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, it works! I received the ecocube basil and mint as holiday gifts. Was initially skeptical given some of the negative reviews, but a couple of days ago, the first leaves from both plant cubes began to sprout, and around the time the directions said they would! I definitely agree with the overwatering comment - the instructions say "water frequently" but I was watering <30 ml only every other day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ended up in the garbage i was very excited by this cube, I thought I could put it in my kitchen window and have basil all summer long, did not happen. Followed the instructions and after a week I began to notice tiny green buds but they soon disappeared and that was it. I tried watering it, not watering it and the plant never grew. I would have returned it but I did not keep the bill, so I just threw it out. Besides the inital watering instructions, it never told you how much to water after that. Very disappointing
