Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great display piece This was my first set in the skyline series. Overall a good build. The Eiffel Tower was somewhat tricky to get right, but the rest of the set was easy to build. I really liked the Champs-Élysées part of the set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great start to my collection This was my first Lego set. My daughter has legos and I have played with her but I have never had a set or build one of my own. After a visit to Legoland, my husband and I have become huge fans of legos. I loved building this set. It was so much fun and really engaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best city skyline so far! This set is a fun build, but what most impresses me is how good it looks once assembled. Sitting it next to my New York City skyline really puts that set to shame! While the NYC set has arguably more iconic buildings and is a great build, its layout of buildings set in a row looks staid and boring next to this dynamic, multi-layered set. The way they've managed to create an impression of perspective and scale with the differing heights of the Golden Gate Bridge towers is really impressive. Overall, a very dynamic and attractive-looking finished product. More like this, please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A step up for the Architecture Series The Architecture Series has really stepped up their game with this latest edition. With this set it really does look much more like the city skyline with the placement of buildings, the landscape, etc. instead of some random buildings just plopped down on a Lego slab. I really like this new direction and I'm excited to see what else is to come if they keep up this new trend. I really enjoyed building this set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Finally!.... wait, salesforce tower? Really? I’ve been waiting for an SF set forever, and they finally make one, with the atrocity that is saleforce tower. As far as LEGO sets go, this is an atrocity. A classic SF set would have been amazing. LEGO did a dissurvjce to actual SF residents by including this advertisement of a set and a company that most SF residents despise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Fun Each of the buildings was unique and fun to build with very little repetitive building. Fun to explore each building as I went.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be better The most disappointing part of the build was the bridge. I’m not a fan of the perspective view. Enjoyed most everything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun build The Architectural set - San Francisco was a fun build and a good chance to reminesce. I have been building the sets recently of those places I have visited in my travels. The set is easy enough for anyone to construct.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No more skylines please I wish they would make these seperate from architecture sets. I want to do Lego architecture for its design details and representations of monuments throughout the world this is like an expressionist painting of several building with as little detail as possible. Plus it seems like they are doing so many of these now to fill time between releases of better architecture sets. I feel like I have to buy them to complete my architecture collection but I don't enjoy them nearly as much as the detailed buildings. Lego should make skyline it's own category for those who wish to have more of these. Also the price is going up and I don't feel like they are good value for the price these days. As far as Paris specifically the buildings were mainly repetitive small pieces but the Eiffel was a nice solid design although the scale compared to the building just doesn't seem quite right, could be me. It's alright but I hope the next architecture set with a full building will come soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from eiffel tower color being an affectionate lego fan from my childhood i cannot resist to buy some lego for myself from time to time. being an architect, the lego architecture series are a specialty i like the most. i had only one - the trevi fountain in rome (excellent!), but recently i bought paris and san francisco. both are excellent too. knowing paris very well i can confirm that this set recreates the overall atmosphere of the city featuring some of it's most famous monuments. in technical terms i have no objections considering the build quality. i must say that this eiffel tower is far the best - it finally has the right proportions and an overall impression - really great work :) however i have one important objection: the color of the eiffel tower. in reality it is not grey, it is painted brown. i my oppinion, if it was made from brown bricks (as used for the 555 california street tower in san francisco architecture set) it would be perfect! what a pity i cannot change it :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Set From the first time that I saw this set, I knew that I had to have it. It's absolutely stunning to see in person. The main focus point is obviously the Golden Gate Bridge. Although it's built in a maroon color rather than the bright red orange color it actually is, the Lego designers captured its beauty perfectly with the swinging cables. This part of the model is what made this set a must-have in my book. The other buildings in the set are pretty well captured too. The designers did a great job with the Transamerica Pyramid. I also love the printed bricks used in Alcatraz Island. Overall, the Lego designers really hit a home run with this set. It was a really fun build that looks awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wrong depiction of the arc de triumphe The Paris skyline’s depiction of the arc de triumphe resembles the one in Pyongyang, North Korea instead of the one in Paris. The proportion and roof pieces especially shows the much closer resemblance to the Pyongyang arc de triumphe, which is not a replica of the Parisian one. The LEGO design made a serious mistake for this skyline and should be corrected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best skyline set yet! This set is the best skyline yet... capturing not just specific structures, but the whole city's feel and aesthetic. It's stunning, and a fun build. The only downside is it's so detailed, it makes some of the earlier skyline sets-- ie. New York (which needed a bridge in there)-- look plain by comparison! Dear LEGO: Please add a Brooklyn Bridge set to the Architecture or Creator Expert lines. It would be a huge hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yet another excellent LEGO Architecture Skyline! Great set! I was one the fence about this one for a moment but then just decided to pull the trigger due to how much I've enjoyed the rest of the series... I'm so glad I did! I love the skyline series and this is a great addition. There's actually a lot more than meets the eye at first glance, and the design is rather clever and extremely sturdy. While some aren't into the 3D "forced perspective" nature of the Golden Gate Bridge, it works quite well and looks better than you'd expect once assembled. Plenty of intricate details in this set more than make up for that one minor detail if you're on the fence like I was! Grab it, you won't regret it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shallow representation of a complex city. Too much subject matter was attempted resulting in too little detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from San Francisco a good model to build and looks great. Nice detail of my favorite city to visit. I think using numbered bags for parts and number sections in instructions makes for a better build. Glad to see this function. Hope all future architecture sets this way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wear Flowers in Your Hair Yes I was really impressed with the level of detail and the powerful suggestiveness of the bricks to depict the beautiful SF skyline. I am seeing a shift in Lego with their new skyline sets to be more about capturing a scene versus the pure architectural theme of say the New York set which has no scenery and is all about just the buildings. This might be too because NYC is so rich in architecture but NYC also has its share of iconic bridges, ya know what I mean! At first I did not agree with the orientation of the Golden gate bridge towers but Lego's is all about subjectivity and the power of suggestion and I now understand why they did it this way as it presents a much more pleasing view. Nice Job on this city by the bay scene. I live in CA and go often to SF for pleasure and work so it is special.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best representations Having recently rebuilt some of my older Architecture skylines, particularly thinking of Venice, when I got this new set, I was really really impressed by the depth of the representations. I agree with another reviewer that it is not simply buildings all separate, but there has been an effort made to group the buildings and give the skyline less of a '2d' look. I particularly love the mini coloured houses, they are really cute. My favourite of the skyline series so far......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Visually Appealing Overall a very enjoyable build. In my opinion, it is the best looking Skyline set as the design actually resembles a city, as opposed to a collection of separate buildings spaced apart from one another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very impressive and captured beauty of SF It’s a quick and easy build, just like the other architecture sets. The end result is stunning for the city. I think the designer did as good of a job as he/she can for the Golden Gate Bridge considering the limited space and pieces. With that said, I hated the fact the instruction manual has black background. With the reflection of the light above, it was a nightmare to follow the instruction with black, brown and dark green pieces. There is a reason why all the books use white background and black letters! One design criticism: the red hook between two bridge towers are not centered. That bothers me quite bit! It is a easy fix. Not sure if it is by design or was over looked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Starting to wonder..... ......why? These city skylines were first. Nothing much to say about this one. If you’ve built one in this series, you’ vet built them all. Not bad, just ‘ho-hum’. Quality of Lego justifies the price. I’m now at the point where I wish this ’theme within a theme’ would move out on its own and we’d get more and larger stand alone architecture sets. These sets would be best moved out of the architecture series and sold as souviners in the cities they represent. I have no problem with ‘repetitiveness’ when building a large structure like the Taj Mahal. But, I do have a problem with repetitiveness when comparing set to set to these city skyline sets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bridge too far? Lego has captured the skyline of San Francisco really well in this model - the steep street and cable cars, Alcatraz and the Trans-america pyramid building are especially good. I'm not so sure about the Golden Gate bridge though; I understand the designer has tried to present a 3 dimensional view of the bridge two dimensionally by using some forced perspective, and it works to a degree from an angle (but obviously not face on when it looks odd). I guess had the bridge been a conventional design (like Tower bridge in the London skyline) the model have been even longer (to be realistic), but then it would have been out of kilter with other sets in the skyline series. Nonetheless, a very aesthetic looking model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love lego architecture The Lego Architecture line does not disappoint in any way, this is my 11th set in the Line and I always find myself buying more, this set does what every other Lego Architecture skyline does, it perfectly represents landmarks and historical sites from a certain city and makes them look good next to each other. Just hinting Lego, I would love to see a set of the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good set This set is pretty good and makes a great display piece. Overall a bit expensive for the amount of physical structure you get, but worth it.
