When two extraordinary storytellers like
Dolly Parton
and bestselling author
James Patterson
come together, it’s a match made in literary heaven. One of the year’s most anticipated books, their new thriller,
Run, Rose, Run, comes with an unexpected twist that has nothing to do with plot. The book is accompanied by an album produced,
recorded, and written by Parton. “The mind-blowing thing about this project is that reading the novel is enhanced by
listening to the album and vice versa,” Patterson says. “It’s a really unique experience that I know readers, and
listeners, will love.” Here, we share everything we know about the year’s hottest fiction collab. Plus, find out how
to snag a ticket to our exclusive virtual event with the authors!

All About the Book, Run, Rose, Run
Patterson, known for his edge-of-your-seat narratives, combines his character development genius with Parton’s
decades of music industry intel and writing talent. Parton’s first work of fiction and Patterson’s first collab
with a musical artist, this novel follows a young woman who’s determined to succeed as a country singer in
Nashville, despite a secret she’s trying desperately to hide that could destroy everything. The book is
complemented by an album of the same name, whose lyrics are included within the novel’s pages.

The Inside Scoop on the Album
Drawing inspiration from the book, Parton wrote, recorded, and produced 12 original songs, available
on vinyl, including “Big Jeans & Faded Dreams,” “Blue Bonnet Breeze,” and “Secrets.” A mix of country, bluegrass, and
Americana, “all new songs were written based on the characters and situations in the book,” Parton says.
