About the Book

Based on the character portrayed by Reese Witherspoon in the hit film "Legally Blonde," this new series begins as Elle enters her sophomore year in high school--and she's not yet the confident, sassy heroine of the film.

About the Author

When I was fifteen I promised myself that someday I would live in New York. I had just seen Annie Hall for the first time. I grew up in Baltimore and right after college I kept my promise and moved to Manhattan. I thought my adult life would be like a Woody Allen movie but it hasn't turned out that way, probably for the best. Still, I love the city, especially my neighborhood, the Lower East Side. I like to go out and listen to music, eat in restaurants cheap and fancy, and walk around.
