About the Author

Robert Bateman is an internationally acclaimed wildlife artist and naturalist and a former high school geology and art teacher. His passion for wildlife and nature led him to become an advocate for environmental concerns. He is the author of The Art of Robert Bateman, An Artist in Nature, Birds of Prey, Natural Worlds, Polar Worlds, Safari, and The World of Robert Bateman. He lives in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
