Rated 2 out of 5 by from Limited Play Value This is not a game that you use over a long period of time. Kids will lose interest after a year, if that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun! This game is a classic that I played for hours as a child and now play with my little cousins! They are just as obsessed as I was with this new remake on a great game

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh My husband bought this for our 4 year old son. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold my son's interest. There is only so many times you can play this game and more often than not, it just sits in the closet. While it does compact for easy storage, I wish the game was more interactive and that my son played it more. The pieces don't go together all that well and we often have to adjust the hippos so that they will gobble. Really good idea in theory but it's not worth the money in my opinion

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun... for a while I got this for my kids as I had it growing up. Kids loved it at first. But as there isn,t THAT much interaction... they lose interest. But it's an easy game to play as a family (4 of us), but not too much intelligence and itneraction...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, stupid fun What kid wouldn't love slamming down on a trigger to get a mechanical plastic hippo to gobble up little balls? I mean, that's pretty much all there is to it, but do you need any more? A timeless design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wild, wacky game makes this a kid favourite. This was a classic from my childhood, so I was happy that it was brought back for the next generation. In this wacky, fast-paced game, kids race to have their hippo gobble up the most marbles by pressing a lever on it's back. The hippo then lifts and extends its neck, grabbing any marble that happens to roll in front of it. There is lots of fast-paced marble snapping, so it can get pretty noisy, but it is a perfect choice for when you don't have time for a long game like Monopoly. It is a sturdy game, and as a handy feature, the marbles and hippos actually snap on underneath the base for storage. Recommended! #plumreview

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a noisy good time Kids love this game because it's noisy and fast-paced. Gives me a headache, but it keeps the kids busy for a while, lol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great game Lots of fun, but like usual, lots of parts go missing and the game gets set aside and forgotten

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same quality as is used to be... This was a such a fun game to play growing up, we bought it for our kids. It was disappointing that the mechanism was getting stuck and was stiff for one of the hippo. The entire game is much more lightweight and fragile than the original we used to pound on as kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great classic game I had when I was a kid and now my kids can enjoy as well. It is definetly a noisy game but the kids get sooo excited while playing it and have alot of fun. For storage purposes it doesn't fit back in the box though with the hippos attached. Kinda a downfall as the small balls are easy to lose when kids put away. It is a great classic family game...so much better for a family to do than technology today!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun & Noisy! The kids love this game, especially my youngest (we bought it when she was 5). Its a bit noisy but other than that a fun game for the kids.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loses its legs rather quickly Fun game for a short while, but it gets boring really quickly. There is no real strategy to be had so it just becomes a mess of people banging the tails of the hippos. There are much better games out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun It's fun for kids between the recommended ages. Adults should watch their aggressiveness with this game however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun This is a great children's game. It can be a little loud but very fun. But the older ones are more well made than they are now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great game my nephew loves playing this game
Date published: 2016-12-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always a favourtie Hungry hungry hippos is always a favourite in our home. It definitely is not as durable as I can remember from playing it when I was a child, unless I played it more gently then my kids? :)
Date published: 2016-11-25
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great game... cheaply made This classic game is a must for kids. It is my nephew's favourite game and you cannot visit without playing! It's fun to see who eats the most balls. Unfortunately, this newer version is cheaply made and occasionally the hippos get stuck, making it a tad overpriced at regular price. However, your kids are sure to love it and it will provide hours of entertainment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap plastic My son loves it but hippos get stuck and board is so cheaply made now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great old favorite My almost 3 yr old got this for Christmas and he LOVES it!  I remember loving the game too as a kid.  I love that the marbles are now plastic and not glass, makes them a little less dangerous if thrown.
