Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this! I saw this in a shop and thought it looked pretty cool. The feel of it is quite nice, it feels quite sticky and you would expect it to leave stickiness on your hands.. but it doesn't! Which is really good. It doesn't have a strong smell and the colours are bright. My godson has sensory processing disorder and finds touching things quite difficult.. he held this play foam in his hands and although his face showed that he wasn't impressed, he didn't cry or through it away. He just kept playing with it. I was told that it doesn't stick to the carpet if pressed in, so I tried it out! And It didn't stick to the carpet. The carpet stuck to it! That's a little bit of a downside to this foam but that is to be expected as the foam has to stick together somehow. Overall, I think this play foam is a good alternative to play dough.. it doesn't stick to carpets, it doesn't smell bad and doesn't leave residue on your hands. It's bright, feels good in your hands and can be helpful for children with sensory issues. I will definitely be buying more!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Mess! No stars if possible My 3 yr old received this as a birthday gift from family member. As other reviewers stated it feels like playing with rice crispy treats. Unfortunately, the small beads DO stick to everything, especially trying to get it out of my daughter's hair! Also it will permanently leave a gummy residue on any surface. My daughter's table top to her high chair is destroyed. I was not able to get the player of goo off with a Mr. Clean eraser, Isopropyl alcohol or acetone -- trying to scrape off the too with a straight razor did not help either. I am not sure what this stuff is made of but I would not recommend to purchase and I have promptly thrown this in the garbage. I do not want this junk in my home!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great This stuff is pretty sticky, and if you mix any colours it just turns into an ugly orangey colour. It kept my 3 year olds busy for a bit, but it wasn't fun once the colours faded and it stuck to everything

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst birthday gift I got this for my birthday and its yucky. It sticks to my hands and stained them as well. I would never get this for my friends after the mess it made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complete Mess My daughter received this as a birthday gift and it was a sticky mess. Not only did it stick to everything it also stained our hands. It took a scrub brush to remove the stains because soap and water didn't cut it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is Awesome! The negative reviews on this site are ridiculous. People you are crazy. This stuff is awesome. Yes it has a sticky residue, it is a children's toy, get over it. I have A 4 year old girl and she loves the stuff. She plays with it every day. There's no end to what you can do with it. She makes a hat out of it, a ball, many different creatures. Really gets her creativity going.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fun, but leaves residue Lots of fun and initially I thought it was much cleaner than Play-Doh. However when it came time to clean up, I noticed a very sticky residue all over my daughters high chair tray where she was playing with the material. I've tried getting off the residue with soap and water, scrubbing with the back of the sponge, and even tried Goo Gone. Nothing has gotten it off so far :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My kids are sad and I'm not a happy mommy! I really was excited to get this product as I am not a fan of playdoh. I purchased the 20 pack of the foam. My kids loved it maybe for the first 30 minutes. The foam became extremely sticky, stringy and there was sticky stuff on their little hands (and mine too), They were not able to mold anything at this point besides a ball. The foam would stick to their fingers if they tried pulling it apart. I have also found it in their hair tonight, clothes and random areas around the house. I sent an email to customer service. Wish this would have worked out because it was a great idea and looked fun.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst "toy" ever This was item available from our 1st grader's school fundraiser and he thought it looked like fun. It took less than 5 minutes to figure out there's not much you can do with this stuff other than squish it between your fingers ... and the tiny beads stick to your fingers. It's much like working with Rice Krispie Treats, only they hold together better. VERY disappointed in this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product Here's the review straight from my 8 and 4 year old kids - "It's so much fun, lets buy more! It's so cool!" "It's better than play doh because it doesn't dry up." "It's better than kinetic sand because it is not messy." My 8 year old stretched it and made a chandelier and they both loved seeing the stretchy gluey string in between the beads. My 4 yr old asked her sister "Areyou having fun?"(playing with it) Sister said"Yes!" 4yr old said "Me too!Im really activated!" I pointed out that the with the other "doh" toy ,they can see the details on their creations and with the "sand" one, they can write on it,but they said "We like this one better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Squishy fun!! I use this with pupils that have poor pencil control and poor fine motor skills. It can be fit into a busy day and is always great fun. The pupil chooses something to make and we have 2 mins to each make and compare them. The best hung is that it doesn't dry out and is always ready to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Playfoam Classic 4 Pack Looks like the boys can play alone or together. Also, gives parents free time while boys are playing. Haven't seen them open the gifts yet, but from the description products are reliable and non-messy. Lets the boys create many images.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Fathers View My kids wanted to play with it, but it leaves a sticky residue on everything it touches...almost greasy. and the little balls of foam end up all over and this has glitter mixed in it as well...so you can imagine the weeks you'll be finding glitter in strange places for weeks. My daughter(5) was having fun playing with it, but my son(almost 2) was taste testing it. OK IN THE GARBAGE. Do not buy this...stick with lincoln logs or good old fashioned paper and crayons. Can't imagine ingesting foam is healthy, and the sticky residue sticks to carpet too. It is like a slimey flemmy goop. Pretty colors...maybe find a way to harden this stuff and make xmas ornaments out of it instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and long lasting, limited shaping My 3 year old has LOVED playing with this playfoam and I seem to find the ball of the mushed together foam in his room just about every morning him having grabbed it to play with in bed! Since the playfoam doesn't dry out I don't have to worry or stress about it being left out of the package! Plus, it has really good about very little mess! Occasionally a few of the tiny foam balls will be separated "from the pack" and get lost but it hasn't been a big deal so far. While it's been a lot of fun for my boys to play with, I do think it's hard to make many things that really represent a real life object. For example, the most creative I really got was a snowman and a hot dog - very simple shapes. It is hard to create really defined lines with the foam so the designs to stay pretty simple. This is really a non-issue for younger children though as they wouldn't be attempting complex designs. Disclosure: I received 2 4-packs of Playfoam for free to review on my website A Mom's Take. Opinions are my own.
