Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Set Wonderful set. I normally build with regular bricks, so I enjoyed the brick aspect. The minifigure is cool and I liked the hat. The light blue bricks remind me of the agents sets. I like that. The red gem is awesome. The price I purchased it at was $40.00 and I couldn't believe that I got over 500 pieces for that price. I also liked the cow skull in the house above the fireplace. Overall 5/5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellent Set! This set was fun to build and has an excellent play experience. I like how there is a cute little bridge that goes across the water flow. I also was glad this set contained a buildable tree because I have a "winter town" and I can decorate the tree as a Christmas tree. Which is also why I like the fact that there is snow at the top of the mountain and ice, makes the set fit in a bit more with my winter town. This set has a detailed chimney and even has smoke coming out of it! Pros: - You can open it up to play in it - You can "hide" your quad in the mountain - Some windows can open, which I sometimes use as a way for burglars to break in. - Comes with a quad(ATV) - Furniture inside the hut - An excellent value for such an awesome set. Cons: - Minifigure isn't detailed, aside from his face. Overall, definitely worth buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Model The Mountain Hut set is a great model if you are looking for detail and playability. It comes with one minifigure, and an eagle you can build. This model has a large mountain with a waterfall, and a cave with a jewel inside. The hut itself has a large deck area outside, and inside it has a fireplace, stacked firewood, a table, and creative wall decorations that really add to the fun of this set. You can also rebuild the Mountain Hut into a Mountain Top Lookout, or a Small Lodge. I would recommend this product if you have just started building Legos, or have been building for a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty little house looks better than in pictures While waiting for the new Star Wars sets I had to find something to keep me busy so I went for this smaller set. I hesitated a lot to be honest, as I wasn't sure I would like this. I am still used to the pretty houses and villas issued in the 80s and 90s when I was a kid. I ended up buying it. The building isn't as easy as you'd think, it's nice though, a small challenge as there are so many tiny 1x1 bits with many colors that you need to be careful where to put, and this is why it's recommended you put aside the bricks you need for each step, as you might forget some. As a previous reviewed pointed out, the bulk of the mountain is made of two hollow big bricks. I have to be honest, this time it didn't bother me as much as the fact that part of the mountain is also made of two 2x2 bricks that are as tall as 3 bricks. Why not use 3 individual 2x2 bricks on top of each other? This is something that I really hated when I first started to look at Lego sets as an adult. They are supposed to be universal, and making bricks this big for no reason detracts from the building experience and makes Lego become more like toys, or Duplos. I see absolutely no reason to create such big bricks, or like the walls of the Police of Fire Staions, big tall 1x2 bricks that in the past were 1x2 bricks on top of each other. However even while building the hut I forgot about this as the thing is really cool and looks much better than you'd have thought. Although this can be said about all Legos. One downside is that the bedroom, which has a tiny bedside cupboard....has no bed. In fact that room is pretty empty. Where is the man supposed to sleep? Or a seat. I don't really get the different colors of the waterfall, they look a bit random, I would have preferred them to be of growing intensity, or decreasing. All in all, recommended. But Lego guys, what happened to the old-style houses? It seems this last year there were only huts, or that villa with the glowing brick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely set for any collector's collection Overall I am very happy with this set. This set has a fun quality that is obvious starting from each step in the assembly process to the end product which holds so much character for a 500+ piece set. The scene contained in this set is made up of detailed planned colours and features, both inside and outside the structure (the house) and immediately upon completion of this set I merely sat and admired its richness. I highly recommend this set. It adds so much vibrant energy to my collection. Another masterpiece from Lego. A must have for any collector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Mountain Hut I just finished building the first version of the cabin, and love it. The little details like the eagle, the red crystals in the mountain cave, and the little water fall are great. I show some friends and family pictures of it, and now they want to build one of their own. I still have the two other versions to build, but I would highly recommend this set to others, and already have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Let The Fun Begin! I've been playing with Legos since I was a kid. Within the last six months, I've re-discovered this exciting hobby. After building a Winter Wonderland (including Santa's Workshop and the Winter Market) for Christmas 2014, I decided to start a new project...which I'm calling Legoville, USA. My plan is to use the "City" theme sets to build a Downtown Area and maybe throw in a few of the "Creator" theme sets to add flavor to the overall project. This set, the Mountain Hut, will make a perfect addition by allowing me to also build a forest recreation area. I found the set to be priced well. The hut itself is really nice. I decided to build the version with the mountain and the eagle (I plan to purchase a second set later so I can also have the version with the duck pond). The set is designed in a way so that the hut opens up, which I think is pretty cool. My only complaints are: 1.) The only headgear for the minifig is a helmet. It would've been nice to give him other headgear (like maybe a trapper hat)...or even just standard minifig hair so I don't have to take one from my collection. This would also add to the playability by allowing us to send our minifig on other adventures. 2.) The mountain leaves a little to be desired. I was disappointed to find that the bulk of the mountain is two large pieces, instead of several smaller pieces which would've added to the building experience. Also, the mountain is really only half complete. When viewed from one side, it is just a hollow background (see photo below). I guess I can take pieces from my collection in attempt to complete it, but I shouldn't need to do that. Not when I'm spending my hard earned money for complete sets. All in all, I would recommend this set. The cons I've listed above really shouldn't prevent anyone from buying it, just be aware of them in order to set your own expectations accordingly. I can't wait to get the Seaside House next and start working on my "coastal community" of Legoville, USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More mini mountains like this please Great set with some nice details like the mini-mountain and its waterfall. I think having some more trees would make this a bit more realistic and a fun build, not that it isn't fun as is. The 3 different models that can be built are all very good; 2 out of the 3 are fantastic. This will go nicely with my minifigure Lumberjack and the custom trees I'm adding to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Lego's I just love Lego's, I wish we could have had all the different sets when I was a kid, but then they didn't have the Friends or Princess'. My niece and nephew and I are building not only Lego's, but vast memories every-time we play!! Thank you Lego

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing A brilliant addition to all the lego houses before it my favorite bit other than the stunning mountain is the puffs of smoke coming out of the chimney. Strongly recommend anyone and everyone adding it to there collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Set For my first build, I chose the pictured mountain cabin. This set exceeded my expectations. I was looking for some roofing pieces, but didn't want to use the pick-a-brick. A lego store employee recommended this to me. I was a little skeptical at first, as the set seemed a little boring, but the process of the building was fantastic. The cabin is full of detail, and it's just challenging enough without being frustrating. The house opens up to reveal the interior, to which I added a few pieces of my own. This set really got my creativity going. I added to the waterfall, placed a stove in the cabin, and added a few additional trees, plants, and defined the land between the grass and the water with some smaller pieces. I also placed the set on a larger green mat, so that I had room to expand as inspiration struck. It's been over a month since I've built the set, and I can't bring myself to take it apart yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Deal The "Mountain Hut" is less than 10 cents per piece! It can open in half, has a lot of brick built furnishings and has an ATV. Plus it has mountainous landscaping with a waterfall using translucent bricks and plates. It also has a crystal and an eagle, so the playability is endless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Pieces, Good Model, Excellent Value I think this model is pretty good, I especially enjoyed the pieces! TWO L.U.R.Ps That means Little Ugly Rock Pieces! They are kinda rare nowadays! And 10 tan Erlings! Tose are bricks that have one stud on the side. And it was a good price! Only $40 for 550 pieces! Nice job LEGO(r)! Maybe you could put a bit more detail.... I spent 6 hours not in a row building all 3 models, and built MY OWN MODEL!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set but missing 5 pieces My son received this set as a gift & immediately started building it. He was quite disappointed when he found that 5 pieces were missing in the first configuration that he attempted. Luckily, he has a ton of Legos & was able to finish his build with pieces he had on hand, but he lost some of his enjoyment for the set with each missing piece. I've ordered replacements for the pieces from this website. Hopefully we don't find that there are more missing when he builds the other configurations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun little build Fun little build, couple of hours max, I really liked the mountain with the water fall. I learned a lot of techniques to use in MOC, and also there are three builds here which increases the value of the set. I really liked the water and ice on the mountain, the way it falls is realistic and fun for play. My daughter (4) and I played a game with other minifigs, that they were tearing up the build every night and the minifig included needed to rebuild his house. It was a lot of fun. I don't think an expert would like this build, but there are some fun pieces included, if you are an expert builder and have an extensive collection and fantastic technique this may not be a set you would like, but the labeling is accurate. this is a toy for 8 to 12 year olds or AFOL's new to the lego hobby. I loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The set is nicely detailled with the house and the Mountain with the little river. The house itself has very nice detail inside with the fire place, the wood (brown and sand color), the little table, the boat picture(printed) and the little furniture. I abslutely love these mini-build with eagle and the vtt. There is a lot of very nice pieces with the roof, wall, the mountain and the mini build. I dont particulary like the minifig but a nice addition to the with three nice designs with this set. Finaĺly a amazing set with a nice theme at a good price (49.99) for the among of pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little set The Mountain Hut Creator set is a fun, relatively easy build that looks great on a shelf next to the other Creator buildings. I received this set as a gift for Christmas, which was a nice surprise as I thought it was not ready for release until after the new year, so upon opening it I was excited to see something new. The hut itself is fully detailed - the exterior features a nicely designed chimney with smoke, several windows and a front porch. Like other Creator buildings, you can open the hut in half to reveal the interior. Inside you'll find a fireplace & mantle, a dresser and pile of logs for firewood; again nicely detailed for a small set. The property features a mini-mountain complete with a snow covered peak and "running" water. I really enjoy the detail on the water as it starts at the peak and flows into the brook below. Across the brook is a bridge which leads to a small entrance or cave inside the mountain. The set comes with one mini-figure and an all-terrain vehicle. The figure is a little underwhelming as he features just a plain red torso with no detail. The ATV is a nice bonus, but it's small and not overly detailed. Still, it's nice that Lego included a vehicle. Overall this is another great set and if you're into the Creator buildings, this is worth picking up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disppointed by this model i thought that this set is just designed by a 10 year old kid. but it is actually designed by a professional lego designer. first, it is absolutlly undetail, look at the river and the bridge, the design was totally stupit.the rock are even worse, i think the designer just build it ramdomly. the only thing good is the price, i can use the pieces in MOC. I HOPE THE DESIGNERS CAN REALLY DESIGN SETS IN A PROFESSIONAL WAY, BUT NOT RAMDOMLY!
