Rated 4 out of 5 by from CLS-89 Eradicator Mech Review Included in this set: 2 Minifigures 2 Alien "Abductoids" The Mech itself Let's start with the minifigures! Jack Fireblade, the Orange Team hero of the set, has a smirk on his face. If you switch his head around, he can have a breathing apparatus. He can hold one of the 2 futuristic rifles that are included in the set. The Orange Team robot sidekick is a great minifigure, and is the same one we saw in the "Bug Obliterator" set. He has a pair of wings that can be detached from his armor, and can hold a large gun that is detached from the mech. The two abuctoids are fairly simple in design. One has wings and one does not, but they both have exclusive green cocoons that can hold a figure. They are satisfactory and a good villain of the set. The mech itself is pretty cool. The main cockpit can be detached and become a flyer, which leaves another cockpit which folds down from the back, and is then spun around to make the mech operational again. There is room for both figures in the mech, and places to attach Jack Fireblade's 2 rifles and the sidekick's big gun. There are flick-fire missiles on the flyer, as well as a revolving missile shooter and a mini-gun type thing on the mech. My major gripe with this set comes with the legs of the walker. The knees cannot bend. In fact, there are no knees. The last Lego walkers that had knees in recent memory were the Exo-Force ones, and those were years ago. For 40 dollars, I think that poseable knees could have been incorporated. However, this is still a good set that I would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eradicate! In around two hours I assembled the bugs and mech which, I must say, is pretty impressive. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the bugs and mechs look great. The bugs are different (I was afraid they'd be simple clones of each other but they are each unique) and each comes with a capture pod. The mech is, of course, the focal point and looks great both with and without the detachable ship. Some reviewers have complained that it is difficult to get the mech to stand but I have mine on display and once I found a sturdy stance, which didn't take too much time, it has stayed up. The only negative points I have are flick missiles and stickers, both of which I don't much care for, which is why I dinged it one star. Overall, this really is a nice, visually appealing set with lots of possibilities for play. Enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mech awesomeness This mech was not my first choice but when I started to build it I was seeing all the possibilities for play and pose of this set. btw. People keep complaining how difficult this mech is to stand up and for me it was too at the beginning because I was standing it ONLY with the ball and socket joint. YOu need to let it sit back until the cilinder at the back of the leg touches que foot. It gives it a firm stand and a less stiff look. AWESOME playability now. The pros. It a good size robot that has a lot of moving parts and nice colors. The arms move independently and so do the legs. Detachable cockpit turns into a shuttle Mech turns around for an autopilot function Good size alien enemies stickers really make the set pop. Cons no alien minifig the missiles dont fly more than a couple of inches, at least in my set. The stickers can get a bit confusing. Lego is more about pieces than sticking stickers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mecha are boss!!! Wow, this was a very cool set, especially for a fan of Mechs, Galaxy Squad and lego. I am a HUGE HUGE fan of the Mecha genre, and very impressed with the Galaxy Squad line. I hope there's a wave 3 and more. Besides this, I have the Swarm Interceptor. The Minifigs: Jack Fireblade- A cool spaceman fig with a double sided head and orange and grey armor. Not a whole lot to say here, but he's very cool. 8.5/10 Robot Sidekick-Wow, this guy is pretty bossome!(cross of boss and awesome)A well-designed head mold, and armed with a massive laser cannon that you can mount on the mech, I'm not that big on the design of his wings/ shoulder armor, but that's just my opinion. 9/10 The Set: The bugs-These are nicely designed enemy bugs, with a cool color scheme of lime and dark red and some cool-trans lime pieces. 10/10 The Mech- Where do I begin? This mech is Way Cool. One arm has a missile rack, and the other a rotary cannon with a hard point for the laser cannon mentioned earlier. The legs are kinda chunky looking, in a good way. Some green splotch details on the feet, to represent squashed bugs(unfortunately they are stickers). The separate function works well, and is cleverly designed. The jet that comes off the top is a little more substantial than that of the Swarm Interceptor(one of my few gripes about it), and I like the way you flip up the secondary cockpit, which has this hilarious bug-splat-on-a-windshield-decal(also sticker). All, in all, great. 8/10 Not quite on the grand level as the Swarm Interceptor, but still a great buy. Lots of great MOCing parts. Buy this!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 1. CLS-89 Eradicator Mech This is my first review and this set is really cool. It's got lots of flaws, but it's pretty cool. Anyway, this set features the big white mech and some alien pods. Lets get on with this review. MINIFIGURES: 6/10 -The Orange Team head: He comes with lots of cool pieces you never see in other sets. He does have a lot of parts. I give him a 9/10. -The Other Orange Team guy has a cool head with two faces and a cool mask piece. He gets an 8/10. -The only thing was there was no alien and therefore I had to purchase a smaller alien set. This gets a 2/10. MECH: 6/10 -The mech is extremely detailed and very large, it has lots of pieces and stickers that can get frustrating. The bad part about it is it is very hard to stand it up. Once I stood it up and it fell of the table and I had to build it all over again. 6/10. ALIEN PODS: 8/10 -The alien vehicles are cool, but too much like the other alien vehicle set. They come with two pods, but the sad part is to actually place a minifigure inside it, you need to remove their hair piece and snap it on tight. I think this is too much and therefore it gets a 8/10. THE BUILD: -The build was pretty good at first but then when I got up to the mech, it got stupid. It was pretty challenging and for me to say that, it ain't good. Then when I got up to the legs there was a shortage of pieces so I had to order another set, so that was intense. Overall the set was pretty cool and this was my first review, so...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from every penny counts! I came to the Lego shop on the 1st of June and was looking at the lord of the rings sets but then i saw galaxy squad sets. the mech was amazing at first sight and it still is. i dont care what people say about it being a waste of money cause its not! i love the transformer effect how its a robot and a spaceship at one point then its this colossal mech. if you love galaxy squad this set is a must and a great one to start a collection. the bugs are great too even if they dont have minifigs with them the cocoons have such a great effect. finally the flick missials on the hand of the mech are such a great idea! i like how you can just press the rods and they come flying out like real ones! :-D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Splatter those bugs! Wow. Awesome. This is an AMAZING set! The CLS-89 Eradicator Mech is an essential Galaxy Squad set as it comes with Jack Fireblade, a robot sidekick, two 'alien abductoids' , and of course the mech. I've always enjoyed LEGO mechs because they are just so cool, but this one is killer! My favourite part of this mech is the split function, where you can detach the cockpit and take the battle to the skies, and then you can swivel the waist to reveal a secondary cockpit! You can also shoot rapid fire missiles ( which is really cool) and rotate the machine gun. Pro's Mech Included minifigures Abductoids All the play features Really good price for what you're getting Con's Lack of alien minifigure You must get this set if you're a fan of Galaxy Squad!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A New Must Have Edition to Your Collection!!! This new and amazing Galaxy Squad set is immediately distinct and interesting. I found the set at my local store and was not disappointed at the build time or the size! When you first get the set there are two things that you will most likely note. Firstly is the three packages, all labeled, and secondly the two instruction manuals (which usually shows a larger build). Going through the steps there are a few confusing points which give the builder(s) a challenge. At the least the set is challenging and can get frustrating (which is one of the few things I experienced in the build). The build must have taken me over an hour and maybe even an hour and a half. Once the set is done you will note a few things. Firstly, the mech’s legs are not very pose able. This might be due to the new ball and socket joint, which I noted, which has three holes on either side. This makes the joints more of a hindrance than a good. This also means it is not really as useful for playing as for just being a decoration Secondly, one of the bugs has trouble standing. This is the bug with wings and seems to have a slight standing problem. Thirdly, the plane, which detaches from the front, has a first time problem when it detaches. Don’t worry if the first detachment has problems. After this first time it will work better! Next you might note the special features. The mech has a detaching plane and then the back flips over and the mech is still usable for fighting! The plane drops a radiation bomb but it has to be at an angle to do so. The bugs can contain the people but only at one angle. The head of the human can be flipped for a cool look, which is like that of a mask! Now for the classic Pros and Cons but with a new addition, Neither, which basically is a feature that could go either way! Pros. Good price Cool looking Lots of features Awesome bugs Cons. The mech doesn’t stand so easily One of the bugs has trouble standing The containment for the humans only works if the MINIFIGURE is placed correctly Neither The build can be confusing and challenging Overall this is a great set which is why

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great play time Listed the "expert" not for me, but my 11 year old. Took about 15/20 minutes for him to put together, but LOVES this series almost as much as Star Wars,do to the bugs and ships. He has already rebuilt and improved the set with other Lego blocks. Very happy with the playtime spent with the series and it can be incorporated to the world of Star Wars with a little imagination. It's already a new planet & enemy to his Star Wars Lego world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW... just wow... This set is amazing it was the fifth galaxy squad set that i have gotten and i am amazed. The coolest part of this set is the split function the robo-mech itself i really cool, but the fact that it turns into a mini ship and a robot makes this set AMAZING! The alien abductiods are really cool too, the crawler and the wasps, i think it looks cool when the wasp is carrying the crawler in its legs. The only problem i had was the lack of buggoid mini-figs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pew. Pew. Okay here's the thing if you bought the vermin vaporizer for just the mech. your going to LOVE this it splits in two a jet and a mech. As for the bugs, they are not great for battling it and i'm a little disappointed that they don't have a an alien minifig. That is really it. Kickpunch out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it already The first time I've seen this set, I loved it. I always have loved the mecha's from Lego, like the exo-force. And this mecha is my new favorite, because this mecha is looking great and I like the cockpit. It looks great and I've never could make that kind of cockpit. also making monster is pretty difficult, surly on the formate of a standart lego figure. But those also looks GREAT. The set looks for me perfect, only that small robot/creature/human-thing is HORIBLE, but that doesn't mind me from buying it (also it's pretty cheap if you look what comes wit it!). Meaby you'll hear of me later! five out of five!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much play value! This is my third Galaxy Squad set. I gave the Star Slicer rave reviews. I wish I could go back and take it down a notch because THIS set is AWESOME! Maybe it's because the split function is more like a transformer than just separating two vehicles, but there is so much play value! Loads of flick missiles, a hidden detonator, two cocoon-ish things (minifigures have to sit down to fit inside). I like that there is a flying and crawling alien abductoid, so that when the Eradicator splits into the galaxy jet and exo suit they each have an opponent. The mech has decent poseability, but the rotating waist allows it to strike some cool poses. Am I a little disappointed that there are no alien minifigures? Yeah, but I'm glad they're omitted to keep it at this price point. The abductoids really are excellent bad guys. Bottom line: I highly recommend this set!
