Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for many things. This set is a great set nearly all around. This is the first set I bought multiples of. I love the BARC speeder, that great BARC pilot minifigure, and the sheer amount of droids. I believe that using a built-in base for the droids makes them far easier to play with if a child doesn't have a baseplate. But one word of warning, the build of the base wasn't that great to me. It seemed, I don't know, shabby. I think that the base can be scrapped and used for parts, honestly. Other that that, this is a great set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cool set its really nice to see a reasonably priced set that is'nt a battle pack. the speeder is great, the clone is to die for. maybe it could have had stass allie the jedi from order 66. the bushes are ok like the fact it has a way to stand stuff up in them. overall good set good price and good piece count

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saleucami is Forming...One Amazing Set! Amongst the absolutely terrible winter 2014 sets emerged this beauty. At first, I bought it purely for nostalgia: the BARC Trooper/Neyo/ "recon trooper" was one of my first Lego mini figures. Seeing it redone so greatly made it an instant buy. But the set is more than that. The droids are droids, and always welcome to my collection, the STAP is basic, and the speeder is decent. However, this set speaks to both collectors and children: kids can play with the spring loaded shooters, trying to knock down droids ( I even had fun with it ). For collectors, you can build up your CIS army and enjoy some wonderful plant pieces for MOCS. You can even MOD the speeder very easily. All in all, great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eat Spring Clankers! This set is probably the most playable set lego has released in a while. The spring loaded shooter is awesome and you can use it to shoot the droids in the cover. The BARC trooper is cool, and there are a lot of droids to fight, but I wish that it also came with another clone trooper or commander Cody to go along with all of the other sets. Other than the lack of clones this set is epic. Overall The vehicles are awesome, there are plenty of droids, cool BARC trooper, lots of playability, but needs more clones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Nice Cool set for a good price and nice pieces. The playability is awesome, the only issue i can find is that for the money the there should more pieces and a better bad-guy fort. PROS: clone trooper is AWESOME love the spring-loaded shooter printed piece good value CONS not enough pieces bad-guys seem over powered over all a good set..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sweet set This set is super fun, and a great set for building armies. The figures are cool, they could have added an adi galia to make the minifig selection perfect. The play ability is really good, and I love all the plants. The speeder is cool with the spring loaded launcher. I plan to possibly get more of these sets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yippee-ki-ay, Battle Clankers! Well, it's not often I get to say this, but LEGO has made a set that is just about worth its price. Yep, you just heard that from me. This set, while small, has playability like you wouldn't believe on its own or with any choice of other clone sets. Let's get down to it. BARC SPEEDER: Set chunk #1. The rear is pretty much the same build as any BARC, but the front is where it gets interesting, since it has four large red bolts to fire out the front! How cool is that? That alone adds some playability, especially for the younger ones. The BARC is decorated red. I always love these clone speeder bikes. STAP SPEEDER: Set chunk #2. The STAP is also pretty much the exact same as it's latest predecessors, using what I think is actually a clever way to make a strangely shaped vehicle strapped onto a clear stand so that the droid can zoom about. It is blue and has a Seperatist insignia on the front. Great for battling the BARC. BATTLE GROUNDS: Set chunk #3. This is just a little bit of rock and plant for the droids or clone to get down behind when taking enemy fire. It can fold up if you want, so it can be a couple different standard shapes. Actually nice to have if you're displaying a battle scene. MINIFIGURES: -BARC Clone Trooper: This is where they really hit home. The clone is actually Commander Neyo, a trooper briefly seen in Episode III while Order 66 is having its big effect. He is in fact on a BARC speeder in that scene, so they nailed that one. He has exclusive BARC printing with red maroon colors and a bandolier on his torso and helmet, which also has exclusive styling. His head is the new movie clone head, which I like much better than the Clone Wars styled one. He comes with a blaster and ready to fight droids. Ultimately an awesome clone to have in your Republic army. -Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids: I'll just kill two birds with one stone here, since we've all seen these Dark Side minions before. One battle droid has a blaster to fight, and the other has two curved arms so he can ride the STAP speeder. The super battle droids have their taller, bulkier appearance with dark gray pieces and thick arms for their blaster hands. Good to keep stocking up on them. OVERALL: It's a nice little set for the money, and it's really rare to hear that, so I'd go for it! Playability will thrive for the younger ones, and a rare clone will get the collectors going. Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out my other reviews on Star Wars, Marvel, Lego Ideas and Lord of the Rings/Hobbit sets, and see what you think about some ideas for new sets that I mention in a few of them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good I love this set it is great! I love how it is set up like a little game. the missile shoots pretty hard so its fun to shoot down the STAP. Ok now for pros and cons. Pros:missiles stap good scene Cons: only one barc trooper Keep up the good work Lego!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fast build it was a pretty fast build didn't really have any trouble. the only thing that should have changed has the thickness of the middle part of the bike it is really flimsy and should have put the spring loaded launcher on bottom with an added on form twin cannons. nut cant complain first ever lego commander Ne-yo

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Great piece value, considering that the average rate is 10 cents a piece, and SO many minifigures for that price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really enjoyed this set everything about it was great I thought it was cool how it practically turns into a shooting gallery with the droids being shot at by the BARC speeder

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money I consider this set a battle pack due to its low price, despite being a bit large for a battle pack. The BARC trooper is nice. The spring-loaded shooters are always a great addition too. Pros: BARC Trooper Droids STAP Spring-loaded shooters BARC Speeder Stands for the droids Cons: None

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing money value For only $2 more than a trooper pack, which would've been basically the droids, Droid Stap, and the trooper, You get stands, places for the droids to fire from, and a Speeder on top of that. This makes it an extremely good deal, and one of the better low-priced sets made (I still think the best low-priced set was the first clone trooper walker battle pack from 2008) Battle droids- These are the same droids that've always been used. Nothing too special here. Super Battle Droids- Same mold and color as always. Clone BARC Trooper- Very good details, better than most minifigs. My only complaint is that his helmet mold is the same as the other Phase II troopers. Speeder- New flick missile replacement. The missile goes way farther than flick missiles and is easier to launch, but you need to be really careful, they'll bounce everywhere Droid Stap- Your basic blue droid stap. Overall, I give this set a 15/15 (New way I scale the scores I give to sets)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Battle Pack I got this set almost impulsively when I saw the piece count and how many droids it had. After I finished putting it together, I realized that it was a kind of game. The droids are all on little stands that you can knock over with the new spring-loaded shooter. They all have little spaces on the foliage/ ruins. The droid on the ship however, does not have a space in this. The BARC trooper's ship is OK, it comes with 3 extra missiles that you can fire at the droids. There is a lot of plant life on the ruins, 3 sprouts, one finger leaf and two small leaves. now the pros and cons- Pros: Great piece count lots of mini figures rare plant colors new spring-loaded shooter BARC trooper is very detailed Cons: the BARC trooper's speeder feels incomplete BARC trooper has generic clone trooper head Over all, this is a great little set and a good army builder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money This is a great new set that I would definitely recommend. What I like about this set is the value for money. For just a few (insert currency here) more than a battlepack you get 5 troops 2 small vehicles and some scenery. That is very good value for money. The super battle droids are cool as usual and each come with a 2x2 base which is great for standing them up but can be removed if necessary. The 2 regular battle droids have normal colouring (i.e. not sandy or genosian) One is needed to pilot the STAP so you kind of only get one.Another droid or a blue pilot droid would have been nice. The Barc trooper (commander Neyo) is really cool with nice printing and a gun, he's a nice edition to the set. The speeder is quite cool with good detail and a nice missile that is definitely better than a flick one. The STAP is cool and comes with a transparent base so it looks like its hovering. The scenery (droid defence station) is a nice part of the set with some cool plants, but I would have much rather seen another STAP or speeder (or more troops). That would have made this set AMAZING Pros: Cool troops ( and plenty of them) 2 very good small vehicles Scenery is nice with cool unique plants Cons: Another droid needed to pilot STAP Scenery could have been something better (STAP or more figures)
