Rated 5 out of 5 by from This set is awesome with all the bombs and spring loaded missiles!!! The build is pretty fun and it uses some great pieces. I don't like the idea of putting a battle droid in the head, although I like the sticker of the AT-AP inside. I also like how the head can detach easily off of the ball-joint piece. The new Chewbacca is so much better than the original and the clone Trooper is awesome too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good i love it! i got it for a Christmas gift and by the way i didn't think my friend would buy that for me a 50.00 gift that seems like a lot of money but on my side i think it is a great value for the price the head of the gunship keeps falling off but that does not bother me at all

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Top Favourites I am a very gifted and well experienced builder myself, especially in the Star Wars theme. Thus I usually prefer buying sets just because of the minifigures and parts rather than the set itself, but the Droid Gunship was a remarkable exception. PROS: It is very accurate by the shape, but it still includes wonderfull and truly working play features. And that is a lot to be said by a guy who builds IR controlled Star Destroyers and fighter jets with working missiles and ejection seats. The new Lego-spring loaded shooters are simply marvellous, and the set comes up with two of them. In addition, the Droid Gunship features dropping bombs and a cockpit (that is not actually present in the movies, but I like it anyway). For builders like me the set provides rare dark blue parts and rather valuable circular grey parts that I consider to add up the value of the set. CONS The only cons come from the minifigures. The new Chewbacca is very welcome remake of the original, but it really does not catch up the looks of the Chewie neither from the Episode III nor Original Trilogy. The Clone Trooper is simply wasted here. Why have one from a rather pricy set when you can have them just as many as you want from the battle packs? Especially when everybody would have wanted to have new Luminara Unduli, which would have made this set perfect, should it have been in it instead of the clone trooper. The only versions of Luminara are the very old version from the Clone Turbo Tank and the one - not any better version - from the Clone Wars series. This is the reason, why I rated the value for money just 4/5. OVERALL From the ship itself there is nothing bad to say from me. Very well done. Have to say, I actually keep a list of sets that are the most challenging for me to approve anymore and this fits well into the top 10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Set!! This set is great. In my opinion this set is worth $50 even though it doesn't hit the 10 cents per piece range. The only thing I wish they included was another minifigure, maybe another droid or maybe another 41st elite clone trooper to match the $50. But overall, I recommend this set especially if you're planning to buy the at-ap and the Kashyyyk trooper battle pack. Just a Great Set!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These Aren't the Droid(Gunships)You're Looking For This set looks like a preliminary image, but is actually the final product. The set is flimsy, with mostly large blocks/slopes connecting onto others, which means that pieces fall off constantly. The large back plate is thin and light, and has stickers conveying all of the style. The front head is also flimsy, but has a lot of weight, causing the set to be off balance. Oh, and there is a cockpit for a droid to go in, because you know, you need someone to directly fly an automated drone. But it is okay, because you buy the set only for Chewbacca, and he looks amaz--oh no!! Yep, Chewy looks like he dyed his hair and gave up half way. That, or he leaned on a wall with wet paint. Either way, he looks terrible: the highlights are too pronounced, the cartridge belt is strange, and his mouth just hangs open. I say we execute Order 66 on this set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Gunship This set was the best version of the droid gunship that Lego has made. It would have been better with a few more minifigures like a wookie warrior. The Chubacca was the main reason I bought this set, and he didn't disappoint me. I love the new rendition of him better than any of the past ones, the Lego group has certainly done a great job with detailing him. The 41st elite corps clone trooper is cool, but if you have gotten the kashyyyk trooper battle pack they are pretty average (I'm just so glad that he didn't have one of those new stud blasters). The set itself was a little disappointing. I new there weren't that many features to it, but I wish that there was a little bit more to it than just a cockpit, bombs, and missiles. I love the bombs, they are really easy to load compared to the hyena droid bomber (which wasn't that hard). The new spring loaded missiles are much better than the flick fire missiles. I did not however like that they added a cockpit, anyone who knows Star Wars knows that droid gunships are droids and do not need a pilot. This set will be really great in my Kashyyyk MOC. I recommend that any Star Wars fan get it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The flying saucepan Can only echo the above reviews,it is a fun build, but once complete does not sit well on a flat surface.I personally put a few bricks underneath to raise it.Also changed the "nodding elephant" look at the front, and made the cockpit more conventional, making it fixed, not able to tilt up or down,&giving the droid pilot a jet fighter canopy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first wookie I got this in late march with some Christmas money I had left, and it does not disappoint! The minifigures are great, especially Chewbacca, who's exclusive to that set. The 41st Elite Corps trooper is also amazing, but i wouldn't buy the set just for him, because you can two of them for $13. And then you have your average everyday battle droid and super battle droid. Not the best figures, but you can't have a droid gunship without droids, can you? And the set. The set is amazing! The only problem i could see was the lack of decent landing gear (those two hatches in the back), but that's what modification is for. The main play feature is the bombs, which can be easily activated by pulling the switch in the back. And it has the spring loaded shooters, a nice addition. And it has an opening cockpit, which also functions as an escape pod. The price is okay, but i could have been better for the piece count. It did have a lot of big pieces though, which kind of compensates. Overall, I give it 9/10, mostly because of the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good This set is brilliant!!!! To start off, I am so happy to final see a new version of Chewie, let alone a new scout clone trooper!!! The new trooper is great to use but I am a little disappointed with the helmet. If you look closely when putting the helmet on the clone trooper, the visor is MILES too high compared to where his eyes are! Other than that it's a good mini figure. Chewie is awesomely cool and detailed. I am glad that he comes with a crossbow blaster and not a normal blaster. My favorite part of all in this set though is the gunship! It not only looks like a slim, aerodynamic, killing beast, but also meats up to all interactive expectations. My favorite feature on this set is the bomb mechanism which drops 6 bombs! The gunship also has 2 of the new spring launchers which works very well. My only worry is that these blasters might be easy to fake. The most confusing feature for me is the cockpit in the gunship for the droid to sit in. This feature is wrong because the gunship is a droid itself that can talk and make it's own decisions on the battle field! For whoever is interested in this set, I recommend you get it. This set is one of the most funnest sets that have been brought out this 2014! You will never get bored with it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Set!!! This set was very nice. With all of the 2014 winter sets, we will be collecting clone troopers and battle droids at the same time. If anyone has the money, I recommend the AT-AP first then this set. The AT-AP is a little better than this set in my opinion. This set is awesome. The Droid Gunship itself is amazing. I also like the new 41st elite clone trooper because I don't have the Kashyyyk battle pack yet and it was sold out too fast. In my opinion the new Chewbacca is the best mini figure. Just the price was a little over because this set has 439 pieces and the price was $50. I wish they either had the price of $45 or add another 41st elite clone trooper. Pros: Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: a little overpriced

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chewbacca! My son begged for this set because he wanted Chewbacca. I will agree, this Chewbacca is the best looking version I have seen. We passed on the previous version some years back, but I like the look of this one so it was an easy decision to purchase it. The set was fun and easy to build for me. The detailing on this one is very nice. Pros: Comes with a New Chewbacca with face and leg detailing, a green trooper and a super battle droid. Ship is fun to build and very detailed. Cons: Includes stickers. I prefer painted bricks for the money. Bad blasters (look like megaphones) that shoot studs. Chewbacca still comes with an actual crossbow weapon from the Kingdoms, Castle sets. After 14 years or so you would think Lego could make an actual movie accurate weapon for poor Chewbacca (Never bring an arrow to a blaster fight, boys). My Take: If you like Star Wars and enjoy the space vehicles, this is a good sturdy set to own when building your enemy fleet. As a collectable, it should hold it's value for some time as the Chewbacca is awesome and the vehicle has only been done once before by Lego. Great job, Lego!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from an awesome set This set is awesome!!! It has these spring missile launcher thingies that are so cool! Along with other cool guns like the rotating laser cannons. The ship has this big circular thingie. And there's this little escape door thing. and some bomb thingies. and, its only 50 dollars. Awesome , for so much stuff. includes a battle droid, with a blaster, a super battle droid, a 41 elite corps trooper, with a blaster, and Chewbacca with his bow and arrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set This is a really fun set with a lot of play features such as the bombs and missiles. The new spring missiles work great on this set. the mini figures are excellent, i just wish we got a rookie warrior in it as well. That would have made this set perfect. i still love the set and i defiantly recommend it.
