Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's worth it, for Captain! So I have purchased this set, and I am quite satisfied First of all, let's get to the characters. Captain America: He has been seen in quite a few set's released by lego, in his dark blue uniform, and I am happy they added a new blue comic like colour to him, although when I unpackaged my Shield for it, the white part was quite a bit pink, but I don't mind of it. What makes this character exclusive is his nice bright suit, as it stands out. Hydra Agent: He is most known as Agent Bob from Hydra. If I am not mistaken, this is his first time seen in lego set's before, but I may be wrong, in my opinion, he is very original, but I wish he had a bit more of a neutral face to. Red Skull: This exclusive character is a very nice looking character, even though he may not be wearing much, his headpiece is very nice, and it gives the whole mini figure itself a bonus point. This is red skull's first release on a lego set, if I am not mistaken, and it is a fantastic mini figure to the set. Now, let's get to the build itself! In my opinion, I say the truck is the best part about this, and I noticed, I could relax as I was assembling this build, I had lot's of fun doing it. The really neat things about this, is how the wheels, actually can go on bumpy and bumpy terrain, for instance my hand. The wheels are designed to move up and down for that, and thank god, they're not that many stickers. The 'Hydra Tank' actually is a really solid piece, and Agent Bob from Hydra, can sit in the top of the tank, controlling the weapons, and turn it around to fire down Captain America! This is what makes this build truly beautiful. What I dislike about this set is that the top 'wire' thingy is easy to take off, but I keep it on just for the looks, but it is quite easy to pop it right off, so that is what get's annoying. The only second thing I dislike about this truck, is that it can only fit in the 2 characters, and I know it only comes with 3 characters, and Captain America has his motor-cycle already, but it would make sense to have a extra spot, for a random mini figure, which could be a hostage, or just simply store stuff in there. I say the time of this build is not to long, if you do not get distracted, and it is truly no set if you build it with no truck. In my opinion, the truck itself is what makes this a lego build, and it is the best part about this, as the mini figures as a side. But yes, this is one good set. Also, what is truly nice about this lego set, is how it is very enjoyable to play with, as you can play outdoors, with the Hydra tank, because of the wheels, and you got Flick Fire Missiles! So all kids, and even adults can have the play experience they want. Pros: Sturdy tank, Amazing mini-figures, Wheels for rugged terrain, All mini figures in one bag, for all of those people out there who want to open up all the Mini figures all at once to play with before the build, Flick Fire Missiles!!!!! (But I usually can't find them when I fire them, and look for them. Haha!) Cons: Stickers!!!!!!!! (But not to many), Annoying wire that falls off, 2 person tank only…AND MORE STICKERS!!!!!!!! Over all this set is one good of a set, and has stuck to the comics due to the suits, and old fashion Captain America suit. I would recommend this to someone, and yes this is worth the 24.99 where I bought it. A- 9.7/10 And I will be reviewing next the spiderman and nick fury set! See you later!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome set! This was the first set that I ever build from the Superheroes sets and it is awesome! I love the little tesseract that comes with Red skull, I also like the little hydra man who goes with red skull- adds a nice touch :-). The hydra rover is really cool with its 4 sets of wheels and moving shooting area (with the hydra man). Also the fact that it has the big radios on the top makes it look as if it is set at the time that Cap fought Red skull. Overall a very nice set- not too challenging for first timers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hail Hydra!!!!! I got this set as soon as I saw it in my local model shop. The minifigs are the highlight for me, but the vehicle is still awesome. The new captain America is a lot more like the one in the comics than the movie(avengers assemble). Overall a great set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy! Bought this for my 3 Yo son. Love the Suspension on the vehicle, Colors and Figures in this set! Would have been nice if the mufflers stayed in place but not a big gripe. Love the tow hooks all over this! Great compatibility with LEGO tow trucks and helicopters. Recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from captian america vs. hydra this set is excellent!! the best feature about this set is the suspenson. it can roll over pretty much anything. the all the minifigures have printing on the back of their torsos. cap and the hydra solider both have printing on the back of their head. captain america's motorcycle looks the same as in "captain america: the first avenger". the hydra tank has flood lights and missiles. the only conplaint i have is the hydra solider didn't come with a gun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Awesome! Minifigs: Captain America: This variant of Cap is awesome! The colors are bright on the costume and the shield. Red Skull: This is how I imagined a minifigure for him. The print on him is so cool. Hydra Agent: Hail Hydra! The print and the colors on his minifig are the best! I like the H on his mask. Vehicles: Motorbike: The motorbike in the set is a simple motorbike like Wolverine's back in 2012. Hydra Tank: The tall tank only seats two people. The turret rotates good, but the clips on the sides move and get caught on the turret. Minifigures: 5/5 Vehicles: 5/5 Overall Review: 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny!!! I will be honest with you, I am fairly new to LEGO. My experience is limited, and I've have no more than ten sets in my life. That being said, I (being a Captain America fan, thus my nickname) truly enjoyed this set. The detailing on the uniforms is very good for the price, and the stickers weren't hard to put on. The Hydra Sebastian minifigure (NOTE: The minifigure Hydra Sebastian is formally known as Hydra Bob, but I didn't think it sounded German enough, so I took the liberty to change it) is okay, but he didn't come with a weapon. The Cap minfigure is good, and I like that the uniform is brighter than the movie. It keeps closer to the comic style. The Red Skull minfigure is also good, and I like the head. His uniform is good as well. The tank is great, as it has working suspension. As mentioned earlier, the stickers are easy to put on. The flick missiles are difficult to shoot, but that's my only complaint. Overall, a great set for it's price, and I recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can do this all day. Captain America has been in only one other set so far, and that was for the Avengers. As our old friend Phil Coulson said, "We might just need a little old-fashioned." So here we are, with the Captain America straight from WWII. HYDRA TANK: The only actual brick built "thing" in the set, the tank is a quick and easy yet sturdy build that is satisfying to the eye and play experience. The tank features some really cool wheels that can bend up and move around to go over unreliable terrain, as well as a rotatable turret equipped with flick-fire missiles. Unfortunately, it's decoratory parts are stickers. The set itself also features a red motorcycle for Captain America. It is a little less detailed from the Avenging Cycle, but it still gives a clip to hold his shield. Great vehicles! MINIFIGURES: CAPTAIN AMERICA- The hero of the set. He, along with the other figures, demonstrates very bright colors that really pop out as compared to some other figures, which is another "old fashioned" relief. This version of him has a newly designed torso with a belt containing equipment and a grinning face. He also, of course, has his infamous shield, which is a new molded piece on it's own if you didn't get him in the Avengers. Can I say right now it is a great relief that it was a printed piece. If they had made you put a sticker on the shield, I don't think I'd have even tried. All in all, a great, must-have hero. RED SKULL- The German leader of Captain America and SHIELD's archenemy, Red Skull is an exclusive figure that has a special torso made up of a black outfit and a silver belt with the HYDRA skull on it. He comes with the Tesseract/Cosmic Cube, so if you also missed that from the Avengers, here's your next oppurtunity. His red head has bared teeth and an angry expression. A great villain. HYDRA TROOPER- The HYDRA agent is actually a pretty cool henchman, wearing a green and yellow outfit (which leans more to the comic side than the movie side) and a helmet that doesn't show his eyes but does reveal his mouth, which also has clenched teeth. He goes great with Red Skull and makes for another disposable bad guy, though it would have been nice if he and Red Skull could have come with guns. Not sure what that was about. OVERALL: Since we all have extra sidearms lying around (especially all those darn Alien Conquest guns, though those would have actually fit well as advanced HYDRA weapons in this set), my only real con is that the tank is a bit small for the price. Another HYDRA soldier would have cleared this. The set has a lot of playability and goes well with any other superhero battle. A good, old-fashioned playset.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value This set is very good, and I would recommend it for anybody looking for a great superhero set. It also comes with Red Skull. I've been waiting for a Red Skull for some time now. This set also reminded me of the Captain America The First Avenger movie. Pretty awesome set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value When I saw the movie I NEEDED this set. This set has great value for you money and play. The figures you get are very cool and have great detail. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Also you need to get the Hulk Lab Smash if you do buy this set. They just go together perfectly and it has Falcon which in the movie Falcon and Captain America are partners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Minifigures I really loved this set. Like it says in the title the minifigures are just excellent, I love the color of blue that they used on cap and red skulls face was done super well but the Hydra soldier was my favorite I love the look of the outfit and the detail in his figure. But they did not give him a weapon which I found strange. the tank was great I love the manuverability and caps motorcycle was pretty good because it could hold his shield.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another cool set! This is an awesome set! One great thing about it is that it comes with Captain America, Red Skull, & a Hydra soldier. The tank is really cool and the suspension system on it works great! The turret is really cool and turns easily. The overall decor & look is very awesome! I would recommend this set not only for a friend but also for yourself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wheeeen Captain America Throws his Might Shield Okay, assuming you pay attention to my name and know who I am, you probably know how I set up my reviews. If not, basically, I go into a lot of detail, and then I have a "Final Verdict" section that if you want you can just scroll down to for my general thoughts. Also, I'm going to be talking about the build experience from now on. Anyway, without further adieu (man that's a hard word to spell), lets get on with the review. Build: This is a pretty fun build. Its a very quick and easy build, but that's not a bad thing per say. I mean, if you only like to build LEGO's then yeah I guess, but other than that its fine. And since this is such a fun set to play with, it lets you get straight to the playing (nope, there's no way to make that sound cool). Minifigures: Cap'n America: This figure is very cool. I love how bright the colors are too. There's some really cool printing, and I'm glad the colors aren't all faded and dark like in the show. It looks very comic book, and that's a good thing. The shield is also very cool, and the printing on this figure is just spectacular. There's of course back printing on the torso and head, which is nice. It really looks cool. Bob, Agent of H.Y.D.R.A: Okay, so that's not his name in the set, but Bob, Agent of HYDRA (or just HYDRA Bob) is a real character in Deadpool comics, and since I happen to have Deadpool, it just seemed to fit. Anyway, the back printing on the head is pretty cool, and the front printing is great. I wish the face was a bit more neutral, but eh. The printing rivals the good Captain's, and the different shade of green in the arms is cool. There's no printing on the arms or legs, but it still looks awesome. My only complaint is that there's no weapon for him to hold, but I guess its not that hard to make your own, so its okay. Red Skull: Last, and kinda sorta least, is everybody's favorite Red-head, or should I say Red-skull (BA DUM-CHING), Scarlet Face! Nah I'm just kidding, his name is Red Skull (I know, shocking right?) Anyway, the face printing is really cool and detailed, and the torso printing is okay I guess, but overall the figure isn't like super special. It's not bad, and it's cool to have a figure of him at all, but it feels kinda inferior to the other figures. Also, minor complaint time, why is he holding the Cosmic Cube. Maybe he has it in the Avengers Assemble cartoon, but if not, I don't know why he would have it in this. Sure, he has it in the movies, but in the comics it was made by AIM. It would have made more sense for it to be in the Hulk Lab Smash set (but that's a review for another day). It's less of a complaint and more of a critical observation (critical as in criticism, not as in important) but still, some food for thought. Set: Off Road Vehicle Tank Thing-a-Ma-Whatsit: I was really expecting this to be in the background, and for me to only care about the figures, but this Off Road Vehicle Tank Thing-a-Ma-Whatsit (or ORVTTAMW for short) is actually pretty cool. The ORVTTAMW looks surprisingly like a comic book, which is a direction I hope LEGO continues with their sets. They're doing it with Spider-Man, they're doing it with Avengers Assemble, and I kinda wanna see it continue (okay not kinda, I REALLY wanna see it continue). The ORVTTAMW's wheels can move so that it can go over bumps, and yes it works, it isn't just for show. It has a mounted Turret that can shoot flick-fire missiles, and I won't complain about the flick-fire because everybody does it and you probably don't care, but, ugh. I should mention that there are some stickers, but it isn't too much, and most of them aren't even things that are annoying to put on. You can kinda just slap it on and if it's sideways, you can just say "Oh it's like that because it's painted on and the guy that did the spray paint got hit with a flying mongoose while he was spraying it." Or you can just not care. Either way, its a very cool looking ORVTTAMW and in my humble opinion it almost overshadows the figures. My only complaint is that there's no inside, and there's only really room for 2 guys. It seems like it would be something to deploy a bunch of troops into battle, not to carry the most important leader of HYDRA and his minion (because there's gotta be ONE minion). Whatever, its still awesome. Final Verdict (cue metallic clang): Overall, this is in my opinion an almost perfect set, and by almost perfect I mean like pretty much perfect. All my complaints are pretty minor, and the set looks and feels great. The Build is fun, the play experience is decent, and it just looks awesome. Score: 10/10 Grade: A+ Tune in next time when I review the Man Bat set. CUE 60'S BATMAN MUSIC!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The First Avenger Returns! I would have thought that the previous set, Captain America"s Avenging cycle, was the only set they made with Captain America. I was so wrong! And this set is GREAT! I would recommend this product to and Marvel fan! The new Cap is very nice! I would have preferred a more movie like version. But it still is AWESOME! One of the main reasons I got this is because it has Red Skull and he is BOSS! The printing was perfect! The Hydra Agent was pretty cool, but I would've liked a movie version better. And the tank is awesome! It can move over all terrain and it's great! I would highly recommend this! This is one of the best sets Marvel ever made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Red Skull has great wheels One of the better $20 sets I've seen Lego produce. Great to have a set that has a direct connection to a movie - Captain America: The First Avenger. Those are really the sets that standout the best. Look of Red Skull is fantastic, and his vehicle is even better. Great playability with the wheel action. Sets it apart from most normal small vehicles. Great to have a third mini-figure with the Hydra Henchman. Cap mini-figure is similar to recent versions, along with his bike. I am glad that Lego use his iconic bike. Would have paid more for a fourth mini-figure. Bucky would have been awesome. Hopefully Bucky will make an appearance in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captain America at his best! An awesome kit for Cap fans: A faithful Captain America kit, complete with 1940's motorbike and his arch nemesis, the Red Skull, plus a Hydra goon. Right from the "Captain America: the First Avenger" movie. An awesome kit for parts for an AFOL: Olive drab pieces (slope bricks) and oversized wheels, plus the suspension system works very well for action packed dioramas. All in all, fantastic enough to make me want to write a review about it!
