Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick and fun family game Indigo is a tile laying game where you are trying to build paths so that gems on the board move into your scoring regions. You want to divert gems away from your opponent's regions while making sure it's difficult for your opponents to divert your gems. You can also strategically destroy gems by creating paths that cause them to "crash" into each other. Each color of gem has a different value, the rarer the gem the more it's worth and vice versa. The player with the highest score in gems is the winner! Indigo very simple game and can be learned in under two minutes. This is a great intro game for people new to board games. It's easy to play while chatting or while having drinks/food because you can step away from the game and return without the need to keep track of anything. The components are very nice. A simple board with colorful graphics, some tokens, the path tiles and colored gems. One complaint is that I believe newer versions of the game have cheap plastic gems which replaced the colored glass beads from older editions. This is a minor thing but worth mentioning. If you enjoy "Tsuro" then you'll definitely enjoy Indigo. In my opinion, Indigo is the better game between the two.
