Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes. It Is As Awesome As You Think. I think any kid that's a fan of Lego at some point or another will get this fixation on the Police/Fire Station sets. They look so amazing but they're so expensive, and for me I fell in love never got one because of the pricetag. But now I'm finally old enough to have a job, and that means I'm old enough to buy my own Fire Station! Now I knew that I'd probably overhyped the set after years of anticipation and excitement about this set and its predecessor. For anyone that hasn't gotten this set: Yes, it is as awesome as you think. I didn't overhype this set. It's a ton of fun, the fire truck is great, I really like the skid design on the fire helicopter since it keeps the helicopter from being knocked off the side of the helipad while not actually connecting the helicopter to the helipad, allowing the helicopter to take off without taking off the helipad. Three stories: bottom is a dispatch room with computers and a telephone, middle is an equipment room where the firemen suit up, and the top floor is a kitchen where the firemen and women can eat and relax between emergency calls. The garage is attached to the first story and the helipad is on the roof of the garage and attached to the second story. I really like the fire pole design, which allows minifigures to slid down the pole and is also very poseable, allowing firemen to be suspended, frozen in the middle of their descent. Awesome set! If you have the opportunity to get it, get it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to build- easy to fall apart Easy to build, with clear instructions, little adult help required. However, it was not very well planned out, to provide strength to the structure, unlike the castle, so it falls apart really easily when made, or even while building. Basic engineering appears to have been missed at the design stage. Just not as well planned out as the castle. Lots of bits for the money. though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice city product suitable for MOCs I can see where this would be a great kids set with tons of playability. As for me, once built, I used it as a parts set to create a Mini Cooper dealership for my modular city. Good source of overhead garage doors!

Pros: - Great fire-station, rolling doors, office elements and some nice big pieces - Minifigs - Fire engines Cons: - none Neutral: - In order to have play with the trucks properly, you need to but another set ( see below) I would highly recommend this set to any city enthusiast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set My brother got this set for his birthday, and we both started building it right away. It's got some awesome features, such as rolling garage doors, and the firemans pole. The rooms are fantastic, and I think the best thing about this set is the endless playability. We have heaps of CITY, so I make up whole books and movies with it. Great job LEGO :P

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best sets in lego it was and amazing lego set. when it took me a few days and i took 5 days for 2 hours each day. the set is one of my biggest sets (besides my lego star wars AT-AT) and all of the doors are easy to open and the men have a lot of detail to them. Finally they are very worth the money and it is very sturdy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fire station I got this set for my birthday and it's great. The fire van is great with its storage area in the back. The fire truck can fit two minifigures and has a moving ladder. It also has a storage area and hose. The fire helicopter is neat and looks like it has a water cannon on the side. Floor No.1 has the garage, a computer with a screen that shows a part of Lego city, a phone, and a tool cart. . Floor No.2 has an equipment area and helipad on a balcony. Floor No.3 has a break room with a table that has cups on it and two chairs, a sink, and a counter with a pan and sausage. The Fire pole can hold one fireman and they can slide up or down. Great set. You should buy this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This feels like the police station that I have!!! Any person who is a fan of Lego city will look at this set and say it is a red version of the police station. I do enjoy how the fire pole is fully functional. I also enjoy the vehicles of this set but I do think it's a smidge over priced though. I would reccomend this to my grandson! Barbie grandma out!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Firehouse! Well, usual, this set is awesome. Attention to detail is second to none, but that's normal for Lego. The roll up doors are very cool. The vehicles and the station itself are very well done. I love the street lamp! As with all Legos, I love this set, and any child's imagination will be peaked. I never complain about Legos, but one problem I encountered was that the truck does not sit well in the bay. It either wants to roll too far forward or too far back, sometimes rolling right out the back door. This was easily fixed by installing two wheel chocks, which the rear wheels rest on, keeping my truck exactly where I want it. In my case, I had two extra pieces in my set anyway, and they're the little triangular pieces which were perfect for the job, (and in fact are used in real fire departments to avoid backing up too far) but any spare Lego parts will do the job equally well. One word of caution - Any building, whether it be a space station, police or fire department, or anything anchored to a flat Lego surface, is not designed to be picked up and run around the house. I see reviews all the time that say, "my 4 year old tried to bring it up to his room and it fell apart!" Well yeah, these aren't glued together. They come apart for a reason, so great care needs to be taken when moving something designed to be stationary. It's a great set and will spike any imagination
