Rated 5 out of 5 by from good set So far I have been impressed by Lego Galaxy Squad. The warp stinger: The build of the Warp Stinger was a fun build, but the only problems are that the tail can't move and it could use a another insectoid. The red team speeder: Every thing is fine but the galaxy-squad should have another gun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, But a Little Immobile This set looks great. The price is very good (given that most Lego sets nowadays are overpriced), about ten cents per pice. The minifigs look great. The speeder is very sleek and pretty cool. My main complaint, though, is that Warp Stinger itself is very immobile. When it "flies" it looks awkward because it's in a landing position. I wish the tail and the legs could move so it looks more "natural" when flying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i sting your face! this set has alot of amazing aspetcs to it. the minifigures are great, but the bugs antenas are easy too lose, so i would recommend to play with the bug minifigure too much. the wasp on its own gives the set a amazing makeup for the cons in this set. the wasp had so many amazing and unique features, like the tip of its stinger where it fires a purple ball. now for pros and cons. pros liked the wasp pretty good minifigures nicely priced cool spaceship cons robots jepack does not fit on the spaceship aliens antenas fall of too easly

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So cool I got this set yesderday and when i built it. It was a sweet size and quite hefty. defintly worth the $30 dollers CA. MINIFIGS red team hero (i forgot his name) is my favorite minifig in this set he comes with two blasters atatched to his sort of speedor bike. He also comes with a cool red space helmet helmets like that haven't been seen since LEGO minifigures series 3 ALIEN SIDEKICK He has the most gear including a jet pack that looks way more futureistic then the NINJAGO ones. he also comes with two sword like things i haven't seen those before. ALIEN MISCITOID I now have two of them the other from Swarm Interceptor he has a special molded head piece with two antena. He also comes with a weapon made out of a scorpion a rader dish and a frying pan. WARP STINGER The WARP STINGER itself is super cool i will do PROS and CONS for the ship PROS awesome coccoon prison if you drop it on hard floor it will put open and the minifigure will pop out Very stable perfect for a battle scene CONS way to many stickers a miccetoid can't fit in the cocoon pod if it did it would be awesome for ambush attacks over all it is the best set i have ever buyed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 70702 Warp Stinger 70702 Warp Stinger This set is quite nice, several uncommon/rare pieces, a good color scheme, and a purple cocoon for less money, makes it a good set for MOCers (M-My O-Own C-Creation). However the set does have some playablity issues. While the Red Team Speederbike has a wide variety of options, the Warp Stinger (the green vehicle) has very limited movement. The tail and arms are in a locked position giving it a strange feel, almost subjecting it to a watch tower and not a flying vehicle. (Just being honest people!) The Minifigures on the other hand are very nice. The Red Team Trooper has some nice detailing and a double- sided head. The Red Team Robot features a very nice, printed headpiece and some fine detailing as well (his weapons should prove helpful to MOCers also). The Alien is 1 of 3 current designs and is included in several other sets, but it is a very nice minifig and is always a welcome addition to any Galaxy Squad collection. Now for the number ratings: Younger Children, Young Adults, and AFOLs (Adult Fans Of Lego) Young Children: 7.5 out of 10 (lower for playablity issues) Young Adults: 9.0 out of 10 (higher because of nice pieces) AFOLs: 8.0 out of 10 (in between because of nice pieces but geared toward younger children) My Rating (for myself): 9.5 because I think it's a very nice set and, as an MOCer myself, the pieces come in handy as well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected This set is really cool! It has three mini figs- Billy Starbeam (double sided face MAD FACE, and BREATHING MASK) Robot Sidekick (I call him Pilot 66) and Alien Mostqitoid. It comes with one of the three different kinds of cocoons, the human cocoon. When I first built it, it was the first set of the theme and i didn't know anything about GS, and I didn't even know if the robot was good or bad! So before you get GS, first see the videos, tvc, read the story, see the squad online as well as the bugs, and don't get this as your first GS set. But GS is my favorite theme now, and I'm planning to get every set including the two poly bags. Great set though for a good price, and really big Warp Stinger. Go Peanut butter!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Stylish, Not-So-Swooshable The Warp Stinger is a very well-put-together set with great minifigs, a fun little 'speeder-bike', and an awesome main ship. First; the minifigs. Billy Starbeam: This guy is great, with a printed body, back, and legs. His head is two-sided; one side having an angry face, and the other with a respirator-type mouthpiece. 'Robot Sidekick': While his legs are the same print as Billy's, the body is different, and he has a jetpack. His head resembles a squid's, with the big 'eyes' at the very sides. The jetpack I don't like so much, only because it sticks out too far from his body. Mosquitoid: His head is three pieces: the antennae and his main head. His wings have a very cool effect that makes the pattern seem to shift. The 'speeder-bike': This was a very fun build; mostly white with red and a few gold accents. Now we come to the main attraction! The Warp Stinger: First the pros and cons The cons: The tail was a little monotonous to build, and doesn't move. The Warp Stinger by itself has nine stickers. The pros: The lime green and dark red go well together, the main body was fun to construct, and the wings are very interesting. The legs have a spindly bug-type feel to them, and support the weight of the ship quite well. The purple semi-translucent cocoon piece is really great, although the round piece on the end isn't purple, which was a little disappointing. The 'stinger' tail works very well; the ball piece shoots out very quickly and goes far. The tail can sway back and forth a little bit, and the wings are pose-able. Overall the set was a pretty fun build and it's fun to play with afterwards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warp Stinger is DA BOMB!!! As my title suggests, this set was very good. This was the second set in the GS series I bought (the first being the Swarm Interceptor. You should get that one too). First of, the minifigs: Billy Starbeam: Billy was pretty cool. I don't like red team too much (overall least favorite team, although I still like it) so don't expect sentences like "OMG I LOVED HIM" or "BEST MINIFIG EVER," but he was pretty cool. Nice face, but it's always angry, and the other side is just him with the respirator thingy. His torso has the same cool armor that all GS members have, and it has nice printing on the back. The legs have some printing, but the rest (including helmet) are just solid red, except the hands, which are black. Red Mech: The red mech was pretty awesome. The head is unique, long, but not weird looking. The torso has some awesome printing, and so does the legs. Lego still hasn't added arm printing, so you can forget that, but the back is cool, and overall pretty awesome robot. Also comes with a jetpack (which I put on the back of the speeder when he rides it for extra boost) and the energy blades, which are a new mold, and, might I add, a very cool one. Mosquitoid: I was a bit disappointed that there was no difference between it and other mosquitoids, but only because I already have a mosquitoid. Anyways, the printing is on the front and back, as usual, as well as on the legs. It's very nice, and has kind of a heart thing in the middle, which I like to think is the kind of weak spot for it. Now for the set: Speeder: The speeder is nice, and really cool. It's very fun to play with, and if you move the guns to the front of the thrusters, you can attach the energy blades to the sides and have kind of a cool side blade thingy to cut open the cocoon. It also has blasters in the front. Warp Stinger: The warp stinger is really cool. The head is great, and the mosquitoid can ride it, which I thought was cool. The tail is nice, however, it's annoying to build the same pieces over and over again, even if they are the same thing. The shooting thing is a nice touch, although I would've liked maybe a regular stinger too/instead. The tail doesn't move at all, and always stays straight, which I suppose it fine, but I still found it annoying. However, it is a pretty decent size. Overall) Pros: Awesome minifigs, the warp stinger looks cool and is decently sized. The speeder is great, and you can make a lot of upgrades. Cons: None except the fact that the warp stinger's tail won't move.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the best sets I have This is a wonderful set. The best part about it is that you can shoot out a ball. The build was pretty challenging, but that is what makes it fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Warp Stinger is here! This set is great, by far one of my favorite in along time. This was the first set I opened on Christmas, and that was NOT a mistake. Pros: Minifigs (all) Speeder Bike Warp Stinger 10 cents per piece! Cons: Lots of stickers D: Warp Stinger only seats one. Overall great set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome +COOL+ set! My son loves this set! He loves the included purple cocoon and he enjoys putting Billy (man minifig) into this cocoon and pretending to turn him into a bug. Cons: According to my son: the insect minifig's antenna fall off easily and are very hard to find. And, the large insect's proboscis also falls off pretty easily. Otherwise, an awesome set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Santa Claus hit a grand slam! Awesome set! Buy this!!!!!!! Next thing I need to say: Buy this NOW!!! Next: Here is some examples of its awesomeness! Build- I put challenging build because it took me longer than other Lego sets usually take, but not that hard. Mosquito alien dude (the minifigure, not the annoying bug)- has a cool color, head, wings, and details. Has antennas, too! Mosquito alien dude's laser gun- Who knew you could make a laser gun out of a Lego scorpion, frying pan, and radar dish to make a cool combination? Apparently the Lego designers did. Red team robot- Cool new head, laser blade things, and cool armor pattern Red team guy (it said Billy Starbeam)and speederbike- Neat and creative way to attach lasers and cool seat on speederbike, Alien Conquest ADU guns, helmet (red this time) two-sided head, and cool armor pattern on red team guy. Warp Stinger (the alien vehicle)- Awesome to play with, big the tail has a cocoon-laser shooter that can shoot a little ball that comes with the set, awesome cockpit, and cocoon with holder. You can fit minifigures in the cocoon, too! P.S., don't take the claw things off, they pretty much keep the ship up when you set it down. Now I'll present... The pros and cons!!!!!!! Pros: Speederbike All the minifigures Warp Stinger I'm able to play with it for a long time when I have this set fight with the Swarm Interceptor (see other review) Cons: None :-D Overall-15/10 :-D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool set. Great job Lego. Right once I picked this set up I knew I loved it. I love Billy Starbeam and his robot sidekick. I also like the "Mosquitoid" as Lego calls it. I do have to admit, while I was building it, i did get a bit worried. All the twistys and curvies of the body make i seem like it would be hard to set down and highly breakable. But when i finished it, I LOVED IT! The body was not breakable and the legs helped it to stand up fine. I like how most Galaxy Squad sets come with a purple "cocoon" to trap the heroes. I also like how the red team got a small vehicle, they weren't just left on foot. Overall this is a great set and I would say well done Lego!
Date published: 2012-12-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from COOL the set has great potentail for becomeing one of the sets that stay a long time. But the only problem I have with the set is that the robot sidekick looks like an alien only with the eyes on the side of the head... BUT this not a bad thing you could pretend that the sidekick is an alien in stead of a robot. :) Good luck to all you builders. KEEP ON BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay This set comes with a lot of cool figs, but the set itself isn't that good. The mosquitoe's legs and tail barely move. The red guys are neat and the mosquito looks cool, but overall you might be better off buying a different LEGO set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Start for a Great Series All I can say when I finished this product was, "Wow". It looked totally great. I appreciated the fact that Lego placed it in a smaller box so it felt heftier. The build was mildly challenging with the tail curve and the head of the Warp Stinger, although it turned out well at the end. I also appreciated the fact that Lego added a smaller vehicle for the heroes, rather than just a minifigure. Finally, I loved all the new pieces and minifigures. With a good price for pieces, I would recommend this for anyone. Go Galaxy Squad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buzzz... Immediately fell in love with this set when I first saw the pics a few months ago. I love how LEGO is using the new olive color a lot now, in Chima, TMNT, and for the insects in this theme. Another awesome space theme! Pros: *Mosquito *Red team *Purple cocoon *Awesome vehicle *AWESOME USE of the wheel piece in the "guns" in the front of the little speeder. Cons: *$30 isn't too bad, I guess. Another amazing set!
