March 3, 2017 – Red Planet Group is recalling the Lil Live Pets Lil Frog Toys, Single Pack plastic toys. They operate with four button batteries and jump. When the button batteries are removed from the toy frogs, the battery's cap can become a projectile and the battery's chemicals can leak, posing chemical and injury hazards.
As of February 21, 2017, Red Planet has received no report of consumer incident or injuries in Canada.
This product was sold exclusively sold online from April 3, 2016 to December 4, 2016.
Consumers should immediately stop using the toy frogs, refrain from opening the battery compartment and contact Red Planet for a free replacement Little Live Pet product.

March 3, 2017 – Kids II Canada Co. is recalling Oball Rattles available in pink, blue, green, purple and orange. The balls have 28 finger holes and measure approximately 10.2 centimetres (four inches) in diameter. Embedded in the rattles are a clear plastic disc with all orange beads and two clear plastic discs with beads of varying colors on the perimeter. The clear plastic disc on the outside of the ball can break and release small beads, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Consumers should immediately take these recalled rattles away from children and contact Kids II Canada to receive a full refund.

August 23, 2016 – ALEX Toys, LLC is recalling First Pops and First Snaps toy sets as small parts may become separated from the toys posing a choking hazard for young children. Nest has issued a safety notice regarding the Nest Protect: Smoke + Carbon Monoxide Alarm due to a safety concern. The product has a feature (Nest Wave) that enables the user to turn off the alarm with a wave of the hand; Nest observed a unique combination of circumstances that caused them to question whether this feature could be unintentionally activated, and could therefore delay an alarm going off if there was a real fire.

A tire defect has prompted a voluntary recall by the makers of Masterkidz Wooden Vespa Style Scooters, see UPC codes listed below.
THE DEFECTIVE TIRES MAY EXPLODE DURING INFLATION.
The health and safety of our customers and staff are our highest priorities. We ask customers who have purchased this Scooter, not to inflate the tires (explosion risk), and to return it to any Indigo or Chapters location for a full refund, no receipt is required. No other products in our assortment are affected in any way by this manufacturer’s recall. We regret this issue and sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
