Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek Style Love this backpack for small items like a notebook, wallet or keys! Cant use heavier materials as faux leather may start to wear out! Overall great backpack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Work Backpack I purchased this for a gift for my mother who is always using a backpack for work. It fits her laptop and lunch quite well. I gave it to her a few months back and so far everything is still going well. Super sleek and professional looking for a backpack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved this bag, till the zipper broke I've had this bag for quite a while, and its the perfect size for carry-ons, day bag etc. However, the zipper started to rip apart in the first 3 weeks, and now that I've had it for a year or more, 2 sides of the zipper have ripped and it is unusable. I've seen other girls with this bag as well and it does the same thing. Its a shame! It is a perfect bag besides that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I Love This Bag, But... I love this bag, but its quality concerns me. For $150, I expect my bag to hold up for longer than two months, but that is not the case. I've owned this backpack for two months, using it on a daily basis to transport my MacBook, wallet, and a few odds and ends to and from work. This morning, I noticed that the 'leather' has completely torn where the straps attach to the bag. I don't expect to see tears in the materials of my bag, which hasn't been misused, within two years -- let alone two months!! -- of owning it. Furthermore, the front pocket zipper had fallen off just a few days after I received the bag in the mail (I don't use that pocket, though, so I didn't worry about it...). After losing a zipper, and having the bag's material tear, I question the quality and the durability of Matt and Nat's bags. If I didn't love the look and concept of the vegan bag so much, I'd have given it a one-star rating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I am a follower, not a leader... When I saw people around me with backpacks like these, I wanted one for myself. They are stylish and can carry lots of things. I found this backpack a little too expensive and was never going to pay for it at it's original price, however Chapters had a deal for 15% off weekends & another deal for an additional 15% off using Visa checkout and with the free shipping option I only had to pay around 105 dollars. Got this item at a reasonable time but like everyone said, the zipper is extremely stiff. My only cons with this is the zipper & price, otherwise I really like this bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous backpack, versatile and chic! I ordered this backpack last week and had it shipped to the store to pick up. It came very quickly! The backpack itself is beautiful, the vegan leather looks and feels almost like the real thing and is water resistant (it rained the day I got it) Inside, the lining is silky smooth with a few pockets to store valuables. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars, is that the zippers are a little stiff. I'm hoping that either over time (or using a pencil lead) it might loosen up a little more. They're not unbearable to unzip, but it does slow me down if I'm in a hurry! Otherwise this is a great backpack.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful Bag, Poor Zipper I bought this backpack during the holiday season about my fake £10 one I purchased in England finally saw the light. I decided to purchase it from Chapters as it was $40 cheaper than on the official Matt and Nat website. From the moment I held it in my hands I fell completely in love. The bag is roomy; it could fit my laptop, charger, water bottle and notebooks all at once. The inside zipper (and pocket) is perfect for my keys, cellphone, loose change and makeup. The straps are very comfortable and the bag never feels too heavy. The bag is very sturdy. The side pockets are very tight for putting things inside but I found use for it by leaving tissues in them. However, the zippers take away from what could otherwise be an amazing product. The zippers are tough at the beginning and an awkward shape. And now the zippers have even begun to fray and have ripped making it difficult to open and close, having left a whole.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice bag but poor zippers i bought this bag quite a while ago but had to comment. this bag is really roomy. you can fit water bottles and your wallet and even your lunch if you wanted to in it. the side pockets are too tight to be of any use and the zippers are awful! on the plus side though it is a great bag if you have to lug around a lot of stuff. i guess i got lucky because the lining in mine is a beautiful deep purple. i have also had a lot of friends tell me they love the bag! i don't think i paid 135 bucks for it. i don't think i would've paid that much for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stylish bag, poor zipper My real rating is 2.5/5. I've had this bag for almost 2 years now and use this daily for school, shopping, etc. A little smaller than I expected. My 13" Chromebook fits, but a bigger laptop will definitely not. First and foremost, the faux leather and straps have upheld all the abuse I could have possibly put this bag through. No rips or holes thus far. Unfortunately, I knew the ZIPPERS were trouble the first time I used them. They are not smooth running and sometimes it takes effort to close the bag. In less than a year the main compartment zipper started to catch and soon enough I have 3 separate holes along the zippers. Just last week I had a stranger at the mall point out the poor condition of my backpack and ask how soon I came across this problem. Turns out she had the exact same problem! Therefore, this bag is NOT worth $150. Buy it if it's on sale (I did). Despite it being faux leather, I plan to keep this bag for as long as possible. I will get the zippers fixed but seems like an issue I should not have to deal with considering the fact I had only owned this bag for under ONE YEAR at the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Animal/planet lovers dream I can't say enough good things about this bag. It can carry all four of my thinner books plus a small notebook along with my pencil case. I LOVE that this bag is faux leather and the lining is used from recycled material, and to top it al off it is from Canadian designers. Please do note that the lining doesn't match the picture, its more of a brown-grey which is fine for me but might be off putting if you had your heart set on vibrant purple. The only negative thing I can say is that when my bag is full the front pocket kind of becomes useless/ zipper sticks a bit but I hope with more use it will loosen up over time. Overall super happy with it, great buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but slightly small ! The bag is absolutely beautiful but a bit small. My MacBook Pro 13" fits in it along with a few other things (agenda, pencil case + one book) but there isn't that much space. Also, the front pocket is quite useless when the bag is full, since it's super thin therefore hard to open or fit things in. Lastly, the zippers are a bit hard to use. Nevertheless, the material is gorgeous and the bag quite sturdy. For someone who doesn't have too much to carry, I highly recommend it. Finally, as some others have mentioned, the lining is grey and not purple as shown in the image.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish bag... But I would give 3.5 stars Pros: Faux leather, stylish, light Cons: Too expensive, zippers are awkward (but look great), lining is dark grey (not purple as shown) I have received many compliments on the bag and overall I am glad I bought it. It fits my small purse, kobo, small lunch, cell, keys and occasionally an ipad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag! I have recently had hip surgery, and managing a cane and a purse was cumbersome. This bag holds everything that I need, including a tablet, and it is attractive and serviceable. I have had more compliments on it since I bought it than anything else in the last few years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love This Bag! Bought this backpack in the winter as a replacement to my canvas backpack. Wanted something sleeker! This does the job! It's a little on the small side, but Im in university and am continuously lugging around books and things... This backpack actually CAN fit my 15" macbook pro but I have to fit it in bare (without its case). I usually fit in either my macbook or iPad with 2-3 textbooks and a lunch with no problems. Can't fit much else though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This bag is awesome! I bought is bag at a lower price, and when it arrived I loved it! So much that I gave it to my niece for Christmas. It's a little on the small side for schlepping around water bottles and school books, but perfect for over night sleep overs and teenage girl things. The side pockets are not large enough for much more than keys and phones, which is good, everything is handy. It's beautifully made, inside and out. I think that I might have to repurchase this for myself...having said that, it's not really a back pack, it's a largeish purse, more like a tote bag, and the front zipper part left a lot to be desired in terms of zipper/functionality. The pulls are pretty, but counter intuitive it terms of the way it works. It left me thinking "that's weird". Also it's flat and small. Think passport, papers and gum, not wallet. It would have been nice if that part was expandable. However, as stated, I would but it again and learn to live with it's short comings.
